Robin's POV
"Magnolia..." I sang. "She could have anyone in the world..." I closed my eyes while my hands were busy playing with the grand piano.
"Floats around town, in her golden gown, born in a castle on a cloud..."
"Magnolia..."
"Prettiest girl that I know, stars in her eyes, handpicked from the sky, beautiful soul..." I felt every message of the song.
I opened my eyes just to make sure that I was hitting the write key. "How can I compete with her? Perfection is the only word I think of, when I think of, Magnolia..."
"She doesn't know that the world is turning just for her..."
"I wish I could be Magnolia..."
I was ready to sing the next line of the song when I heard the Empress speak. "Robin, palitan mo ang kinakanta mo, ayokong makinig niyan," I heard my sister's cold voice.
I didn't answer and just stared at her. She sighed before standing up. "You are prettier than every Magnolia, my love, hindi ko gusto ang kanta mo."
But she was Magnolia... She was my Magnolia.
The most perfect woman that I have ever seen.
I could not see any flaws. I do not hate my sister, I do not envy her.She was just my Magnolia.
"You don't have to compete, you don't have to wish that you're someone else, love," she said. "To hell with that Magnolias, you are perfect to me."
She went in my direction and gently ran her hands through my hair.
I hated affection. I hate physical touch. But when it comes to my sister, I can't say no.
There was something about her that I loved.Maybe it's because she's my only sister. Or maybe it's because I know that I love her too.
"Mahal kita Robin, hindi ka man perpekto sa paningin mo ngunit para sa akin ay perpekto ka."
I bit my lips to stop myself from creating a smile. I touched her shoulders.
Sana alam niya na mahal ko rin siya kahit hindi ko masabi sa kanya ito. "Will you be mad if I ban you from singing that song?"
"Empress..." reklamo ko.
The air vibrated when she laughed. "Nagbibiro lang ako," she placed a gentle kiss on the top of my head. "Iiwan muna kita dito, kailangan kong kausapin si Percival."
I only nodded as an answer. I shifted my gaze to the piano thinking of what to play next but nothing came into mind.
"Bal? Nakita mo si Blair?" I looked at Magnus who looked confused where our brother is. "Ano ba naman yang batang yan palagi nalang nawawala!"
But Blair is not a kid anymore. What is he talking about?
I didn't answer him and stayed staring. He looked like the male version of me, but our attitude is the complete opposite.
