Robin's POV

I don't understand why there's still missing people in our city, not just in our city but the other cities too. This time, it is not maidens only, the fuckers who did this is taking even mages, enchantress, every being in our cities, in all genders.

Is that vampire king not done with his search for his fucking mate? Why is he even taking men?

"Robin?"

I looked at Maximillian and raised a brow, asking why he called me. Nagkagulo na ang siyudad niya dahil sa pagkawala ng mga nilalang na naninirahan dito.

And it all points to one suspect... vampires, because they were proven to take the missing maidens in our city and now everyone thinks that they're behind these happenings.

"Where did you get the maidens?" he asked as we were walking outside his city.

Hindi ko alam kung bakit sumama pa siya sa akin sa pagmamasid, he has knights, so why does he have to come if he could've just send them?

"From a vampire's hand?"

"Where exactly?"

I didn't look at him when I answered. "Just a few miles away from Auroravale, I saw them tied into a tree, I managed to injure the vampires who took them," diretsong sagot ko.

I can't tell him that I got the maidens from the vampire's lair. Hindi ko alam, kung bakit nagsisinungaling ako para sa bampirang yun, this is so not like me.

That vampire should've been dead the first time I saw him.

"A vampire King?"

"Hmm..." I hummed as an answer.

Talking feels like a damn thing to do for me. Mabilis akong mapagod kapag nagsasalita ako, that is why I prefer staying silent, or maybe I just don't want to socialize with people.

"It is unusual for you to just injure him, you're way too obsessed with blood that you won't leave until your enemy is running out of it," he chuckled.

I looked at Maximillian and frowned. Why does he have to be so observant to me? I frowned more when I realized how the surrounding plants started to bloom because of his laughter.

Maximillian is one of the royalties that everyone go crazy for, silang tatlo ni Blair at Tobias ang kinababaliwan ng mga nilalang dito. Although my brother Blair always stay on top of their list. I won't deny that Maximillian is really handsome.

"Shut up," I said with my usual bored look. "I'll go this way," I pointed to the side. "I'll just look for you later."

"Wait. I can't leave you alone, it's too dangerous," worry was heard in his voice but I didn't listen and just walked away.

There's nothing to be worried about.

I silently observed the surroundings. We were outside the walls of Elidoria and it is known that it's dangerous here because there are citizens in Wistervale who don't look up to any leaders, staying outside the walls of every city.

That means that if they attack me first, I might just have a little bit of fun here.

Stepping on the dried leaves created a sound that is blissful in my ear, and maybe because of Maximillian's presence, the plants around this area just looked so beautiful.

A breath of fresh air. That's what the citizens call King Maximillian, and that weirdo sometimes smiles because of that. He likes it that he was adorned by everyone, but he never really boasts about it.
