Robin's POV
"Amara?" I tried to look for her.
Where could she possibly be if I only took my eyes off her for a second. "Amara?"
I panicked when I already looked around and realized she wasn't here. I close my eyes to feel the river if she's there but she wasn't.
"Amara?!"
Fucking fuck. Leon is gonna kill me. Everyone is going to kill me. I will fucking kill myself.
The whole area was engulfed in water, I don't fucking care if I get wet. I have to find her this instant.
My brows furrowed when I realized that I wasn't fucking alone. I immediately found myself in front of the person and almost lost my sanity when I saw him holding my niece.
"Fucking moron," I whispered under my breath. I sighed in relief when I saw that Amara was fine. "Close your eyes," I told her.
The man's head flew off, I don't know where the fuck it went and I don't fucking care. I then realized that he was a vampire judging from the way his body burned to ashes.
Mas lalo lang akong nagalit sa bampirang yun. Agad akong tumakbo patungo kay Amara upang tingnan kung ayos lang ba ang lagay niya, lumuhod ako at hinawakan ang kanyang mukha.
"I'm sorry," I apologized. "What did he do to you?"
"Nothing," she said, not knowing what
could've possibly happened to her.
I hugged her so tight that she had to tell me that she couldn't breathe anymore. "I will take you back to the palace, you wait for me there."
"No..." she protested. "I'm coming."
Scared that she would cry, I sighed and held her hand. "No matter what happens, do not let go, okay?"
She nodded.
"What did you do?!" I yelled in rage.
I don't fucking care that I was right in front of him with his fucking right hand. Nakatutok ang espada ko sa leeg niya, isang maling galaw ko ay mapuputol ito.
"Puta!" gulat na sigaw nung lalaki. "Tangina, ambush!"
"Shut up," baling ko sa kanya habang nakatutok pa rin ang espada ko sa hari niya. "I told you not to hurt my family," nanggigil kong baling sa kanya.
"What did I fucking do this time?" kalmado pa rin niyang tanong.
"And do not curse!" saad ko.
For fuck's sake, Amara is here! Leon would fucking tie me in a tree if he hears Amara cursing.
"Teka lang! Teka lang! Huminahon muna tayong lahat," huminga ng malalim ang bampira. "Okay, bitawan mo ang espada," utos niya na hindi ko ginawa. "Boss, patay ka na ata talaga niyan."
"I fuc—" he stopped and looked at Amara. "I did nothing wrong."
"Nothing wrong?! I almost lost my niece because a vampire took her!" It was the first time I lost composure.
I can take everything, wag lang yung si Amara idadamay. Wag pati bata. I would lose myself if I lose Amara. I have never been this scared my entire life.
"I'm going to kill you," kinalma ko ang sarili ko.
"You keep saying that," hindi na naniniwala niyang sabi.
And what I did shocked him. Fucking moron. I pushed my sword closer to his neck, making him bleed.
"P-please, no hurting," tila nawala ang galit ko nang marinig ko ang sinabi ni Amara.
She was pouting already. "Sorry."
Binaba ko ang espada ko. "You're lucky she's here," sabi ko. "If anything happens to my family, I would never forgive you," seryoso kong sabi.
It is the truth.
He sighed. "I'm sorry," ramdam ko ang sensiridad niya. "I will tell them to stop, just don't be mad at me anymore.."
"Yun lang," komento ng bampira.
"Amon..." the vampire warned him.
He stood up, making him tall over me so that I had to look up to him. I stayed silent and watched as he walked towards us.
He crouched down to be at Amara's level. "I'm sorry," paumanhin niya rin sa bata.
Amara smiled, unaware of the surroundings and the people around her. "It's okay!"
"Let's go, Amara," tawag ko sa kanya.
My portal appeared again but I had to stop when the vampire called me. "Can we talk?"
And I don't know what has gotten into me when I nodded. Nagpaalam muna ako kay Amara.
"Amara, you go first okay? You will arrive in your parent's chambers, can you do me a favor, babe?"
She nodded.
"Can you keep this a secret for me?"
Sumilay ang ngiti niya, making her round fluffly cheeks look rounder. "Our secret?"
"Hmm,". I nodded.
"Okay!" she giggled.
I kissed her forehead and watched as she got taken by my portal.
"Make it quick," I turned to the vampire.
"Boss, alis lang ako," paalam ni Amon.
He sighed. "My apologies for what the vampire did."
"Do you know about it?"
"No," sagot niya. "I just told them to abduct people from your city, hoping that you would talk to me."
"I told you to fucking stop."
"And I told you I wouldn't," matigas ang ulo niyang sagot.
"This is why I hate people like you. I hate it when men go to whatever it takes just to have what they want, I hate men like that..." It was the longest I talked to him.
His jaw tightened. "Really? You don't like men like that?"
"I don't."
He nodded. "Okay, I'll keep that in mind."
Kahit naguguluhan sa pinagsasabi niya ay hinayaan ko nalang siya. I took a cigarette.
"You have fire in here?" I asked with the cigarette in my mouth.
He sighed before pointing at a torch. "I hate it when you smoke."
"I don't fucking care," I instantly felt relief when I put back the lit cigarette in my mouth.
"You still look beautiful, but why are you wet?" he studied my dress.
"All your fucking fault."
The side of his lips rose. "Oh, I haven't done anything to make you wet, venom."
Tinitigan ko lang siya at hindi sumagot. That fucking mouth of his.
"I'm going."
"Too early," he said.
"Know your place."
I have already changed into my new dress but I stayed sitting at the edge of my bed, drowned with the thoughts of what is happening in my life these days.
Every time I encounter that vampire, the stronger my conscience eats me up. Why would I feel this way?
I didn't do anything wrong. Ang tanging mali ko lang ay hinayaan ko siyang mabuhay noong una ko siyang makita ngunit wala na akong ginawa na higit pa doon.
That's it. Nothing else, so why would I feel like I did too much. Like I'm betraying my sister?
Muntik ng mapahamak si Amara dahil sa akin, if anything happened to her today, I would've never forgive myself.
That smart princess really kept everything that happened today a secret. When Leon asked her where I took her she said that we were just out in the garden.
