Jungwon started driving almost immediately after the call. He had told his dad beforehand that he's making his way there and his dad said that he'll inform the doctor about it.

Jungwon just followed the address given while hoping that the meeting wouldn't be so awkward. The thought of the doctor already knowing how Jungwon looks like feels scary. Meanwhile, Jungwon has no idea who this doctor is.

When he arrived at the address his father had given him, he was taken aback. His eyes galamced from the small note he had written the home address, and toward the mailbox of the house.

They both has the same written address.

This was no ordinary meeting spot. The house was massive, a sprawling mansion that immediately made Jungwon feel out of place. He parked his rented car and hesitated at the gate, already feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on him.

As he approached the entrance, the door swung open, and to his shock, he found himself face-to-face with Sana—the very girl who had made his life a living nightmare ever since their first encounter at university.

Her eyes widened in equal disbelief, and for a moment, neither of them spoke. It was the most unfortunate, unwanted reunion either could have imagined.

Sana frowned deeply while a hint of fear was seen on her face, "Are you stalking me? Why are you here?"

Jungwon, on the other side was also frowning, jaw clenching, confused by her presence. "I could ask the same thing. Why do I keep on seeing you everywhere? And what are you doing here in the docotr's house? Does he do treatments at his house?"

It was after he said that, he had realised that Sana might not be the doctor's patient, but the doctor's daughter.

As they were equally stunned by each other's presence, the door swung open wider, revealing another presence behind Sana. An older man, with grey streaks of hair and an ageing face but a besutful smile on his lips.

And Goodness gracious, they both have the same face.

"The doctor is my dad." Sana slowly broke the news to him as she watches his face goes pale. Sana froze for a second, connecting the dots. Her parents had mentioned they were expecting a guest that day, someone related to an old friend. But she hadn’t expected it to be him. "Don't tell me that you're the son of his friend."

Jungwon could feel his heart clenched upon hearing the news. He wanted to run away immediately, refusing to be in the family home of the none other than Sana. But the older man was already looking at him with a wrlcoming smile.

Before either of them could say anything else, Sana’s father interfered in the doorway, beaming at Jungwon as if he were some long-lost family member. "Ah, you must be Jungwon! Welcome, welcome!" He ushered Jungwon inside, completely oblivious to the animosity crackling between the two young people.

As Jungwon was basically being dragged away, he turned to see Sana, who has an equally expression a mix of confusion and fear.

As they sat down for lunch, Jungwon tried to keep his head down, avoiding Sana’s gaze. He hated every second of this. Every bite felt heavy, every word spoken by their parents sounded like background noise.

Sana was giving him death glares across the table, and he didn’t dare to argue with her in front of their parents. He didn’t want to disrespect anyone, especially not the people who were kind enough to invite him into their home.

But underneath the surface, something else was brewing. All the times they had encountered each other, Jungwon had managed to get the upper hand, dominating every argument, winning every spat. He didn’t back down, and that drove Sana mad.
