The road ahead

The decision was made, but the weight of it lingered in the air like the first frost of winter. Minho and Jisung stood together at the edge of the garden, looking out into the vast, unknown future that lay before them.

The moon hung low, casting a silver light over the world, and for a brief moment, everything felt still. The chaos of the kingdom, the pressure of Minho's royal bloodline, all of it seemed distant, irrelevant. It was just the two of them - together in a world that suddenly felt wide open.

"I never imagined it would come to this," Minho murmured, his voice distant as he gazed into the horizon. "I thought I'd always be a prince. I thought I'd always have the palace to fall back on."

Jisung placed a gentle hand on Minho's shoulder, grounding him. "You still have your heart, Minho. And you still have the garden. We have each other, and that's enough to start with."

Minho turned to face him, his eyes softening as he looked at Jisung. "You're right. Everything I thought I needed... I don't need it anymore. Not if it means I lose you."

Jisung smiled faintly, his heart swelling with affection. "Then we'll start over, together. The world may be uncertain, but with you, I feel like we can build something worth fighting for."

Minho nodded, though his gaze still held some uncertainty. "But the palace won't let us go so easily. My father... he won't understand. There are always consequences for actions like this."

Jisung reached for his hand, intertwining their fingers. "We'll face them. Together."

The decision to leave the kingdom hadn't been easy for Minho, but he knew it was the right one. The weight of royal expectations was suffocating. And though the road ahead was unclear, he had never felt more free than he did in this moment - by Jisung's side. They were no longer bound by titles or duty; they were simply two people, in love, ready to face the future together.
