I smiled to my self as I climbed back over and Into my bedroom
/we were this close to kissing\
Sighing I climbed back down the stairs and into the kitchen. I herd my mothers car pulling up out the front.
My timing on flick as usual.
Gabbing the ready made pasta out the fridge I turned the stove on the warm it up. I was just serving it up when mum walked through the door. "Mmm smells good sweetheart." She hugged my shoulders before continuing towards the pantry to collect some wine. "Tough day?" I ask noting her tired eyes and heavy shoulders. "You have no idea!" She huffed before poring herself a glass. We sat down at the dining table and ate in silence. "How was your day?" She asked me. "Ah yeah good." She narrowed her eyes. "I got detention." I said giving up on her accusing stare. "What?! What for?"
"Long story." And I wasn't joking. She pursed her lips. "Well just be careful." I nodded once, "I gave cleo a ride home." My mother looked up at me. Her curly black hair making a curtain a round her face. "Who?" "The next door neighbor, she got detention as well and I offered her a ride home." "Oh. That was kind of you." She said before shoveling the rest of the pasta into her mouth. "That reminds me, seeing tomorrow you have a pupil free day, God knows why, we must go and introduce ourselves."
I almost chocked on my food. "Why?" "It's polite Jasper, and I expect you to be on your best behavior." She finished. I sighed. My mother took a sip of her drink and sat it back down on the table. "It'd be nice for you and cleo to get to know one another." "Mum seriously? Please don't try hook me up with her!"I said outraged. A smug smile crept on to her mouth, "of course not. I'm just saying for car wise. You'd only have to take one car if you went together. Anyways Jay and Flynn seemed pretty intent to meet her, even if you did like her like that you would have some healthy competition." I sighed, I hated my mum knowing about my love life. "Jay has a girlfriend, mum. And anyway cleo dosnt like me." I said blushing. "So you do like her?" "No!"
"Okay okay, Hun, whatever helps you sleep at night!" My mother giggled before standing and taking the plates to the sink.
I think she's had too much to drink.
"Mum, here I'll do that. You sit down and relax." I tell her as my mother gets out the dishwashing tablet. "Oh my sweet child, I can handle stacking the dishwasher!"
It's not the dishwasher I'm worried about!
"Mum, you need to rest!" I catch her hands on the dirty dishes and pull her towards the couch. Putting her feet up I retrieve the remote control of the tv's cabinet. "Now please relax, I've got the dishes coverd." "I couldn't have asked for a better son. It's a no wonder you and cleo like each other your both SO caring!"
Why did I have a feeling she was going to say something like that?
"Mum!.." "Alright sorry, I'll stop now!" "Thank you," I walk towards the kitchen, but I was still with in ear shot when I herd my mother mutter under her breath, "she's all he ever talks about these days and she's been here what? Two days."
I sighed and started to stack the dishwasher.
Maybe she was right, just maybe.

Of course as soon as Jasper left Cora and billy wanted to know everything.
So I've spent the last half hour telling them that nothing happend, still they don't listen.
"So why was he over here then?" Cora asked for the zillionth time. "I told you, helping me with my biology homework." I said rolling over on my bed. Billy and Cora were perched on the end of the bed. Waiting for an explanation. "Well you certainly did have a chemistry bond." Billy laughed. Her and Cora slapped hands. "Wrong science bill and anyway that's all that happened okay? He texted me, came over, helped me with my homework and then when you guys came in he left!" I said throwing my hands up in the air.
"Thats not what it looked like when we walked in!" Billy pointed out. "Guys please let's just drop it!" "Wait, you said he texted you?" Cora said frowning a little. "Yes?" "Well how'd he get you phone number?" Billy finished.
"In detention...." I started before billy cut me off. "You got DETENTION?" She said her eyes wide.
See what I mean? Good girl.
"Yes try keep up! And I was texting you, Cora, and he saw my username! He was teasing me all the way home. And then I guess he remembered," I sighed. "Aw that's so cute." Billy and Cora gushed.
I rolled my eyes. Love sick teenagers😒
After confirming that:
1: we were NOT going out.
And
2: we did NOT kiss
They finally dropped the subject. Billy was welcome for the night to watch movies with us.
We watched 21 and 22 jump street and magic mike whilst eating Hershey's chocolate and Ben and jerrys.
I couldn't have asked for a better night!
--->the next day<---
I woke with a start, the sun poked through the curtains trying to find holes to blind me with. I stretched my arms before climbing out of bed. I cursed as my foot landed in something squishy. Looking down I saw it was, melted ice cream.
"Ew!" I scream. Dad and billy came running into my room. "What's wrong?!" My father asked concernd.
I pointed down at my foot. "Oh, is that all? God wake up cleo. Your not five its just a bit of ice cream!" My father grumbled. "Ah hahahaha omg Cleo this is the funniest thing!" Billy laughed so hard she fell over.
It wasn't even funny gosh
"Huh anyway please get up and get ready the next door neighbors have invited us over for lunch, at 12:00!" My father said. Billy winked at me from behind dads back. Dad grunted once then walked out leaving billy and I alone.
"What do you want?" I asked.
"I need your help!" She begged.
I stared at her blankly.
What called for this out burst?
"Why would I help you?" I hissed.
"Look I'm sorry for laughing its just your face was hilarious." She laughed at he memory. I walked up to her and was about to slam the door in her face when she stopped me. "Please cleo, your the only one I can ask for help!" She pleaded. "I hope this isn't a question about puberty. Because if it is then I can't help you!" I sigh but let her in all the same. her face scrunched at my responded. "Ew like I would ask you. Anyway, as I said I need your help. And I need you to promise not to tell anyone until it's finished, especially not dad." She told me sternly.
"Wow is this legal?" I ask, jumping back and placing my hands across my mouth. She rolled her eyes, "Cleo be serious!" "Okay okay I promise!" I say lifting my hands up to my chest in surrender. cleo rolled her eyes yet again,
Moody teenager
And pulled me into her room.
She sat down at her computer and gestured for me to do the same. She opened a tab and typed in a website link. I peered up at it from my spot on the floor. Dates 4 you. "Wait.. Bill is this a dating website?" "Yes." She answered simply. "Well no offense but your not old enough...." I started but she cut me off again,
Go I hate it when she dose that
"Not for me, for dad. Look okay. I know I've been horrible and moody the past two years but that's my fault. And nothing can change that. We lost our mother, but I think we are forgetting that dad lost something as well. And he is never the same. Mabel someone else to love him the same way he loved her might be just the thing to make him start.. Living again!"
"You know for a kid, your pretty smart!" I said and ruffled her hair. We smiled at one another. Yes we fight... A lot.... But we are still sisters and nothing can change the fact that I lover her. We spent almost half an hour setting up an account for my dad. "Now we just wait for someone to favor him. Then we can set up a date and vola!" Billy seemed really enthusiastic about this.
"I just hope dad thinks this is a good Idea as well, because other wise I think we better start running!!!" I warned her.
