Sunlight danced around on the dust as they scrambled to get away. Funny things they are. They swirled and twirled and ran down the walls. Some one near me sneezed, and I sat bolt right up. "Cora?" I ask. I see her sprawled out on the floor next to me. "Mmm," she moand. "Cora!" I shake her, this time getting no avail. I stand up and look around. People were on the floor everywhere. "What happened last night?" I asked to no one in particular. "You got hung over, we all did." Said Jay coming up beside me. "We should get her home." He motions to Cora. I nod and we lift her up supporting her by our shoulders.
We stumbled down the stairs. "Cleo!" Flynn run over to me. "I've been looking everywhere for you. Where have you been?" He said glancing at me and then to Cora. "What's up with her?"
Jay shrugs. "Let's just go home." I beg.We piled into Flynn car, the boys in the front and Cora and I in the back. Every minuet or so she would lean onto my shoulder and I had to push her away. "Have you noticed something wrong with Jasper?" Jay asked suddenly. "He was snappy with us yesterday, It did seem that something was wrong." Flynn said keeping his eyes on the road. "He thought Flynn and I were, you know and he went off his hat." I said. "Yeah he was angry with me yesterday and last night." Jay responded.
"I don't know why he seemed pretty chummy with Haley last night." Flynn thought outloud. "Was Jasper at the party?" I ask. "Don't you remember seeing him?" Jay asked raising his eyebrows. I shook my head.
We sped back down are road and pulled out the front of my house. Flynn had said that Alice would have something to fix up Cora with. "There you are! What time do you call this?" Alice snaps when we walk in. "Ah half past nine?" Flynn smirks. "Oh, who do we have here?" She said eyeing Cora. "Can you fix her?" Jay asked.
"I know just the thing." Alice walked Cora over to the kitchen and instructed her to sit. Even though Cora looked like a dead zombie she still understood the command. Alice them rummaged through the kitchen, pulling out various flasks. She poorer them all in a cup.
"And voila, Alice's hungover special." She laughs and hand the drink, that looked very much like sewer water, to Cora. Whilst Cora drank, I slowly climbed the stairs, desperate in need of a shower. I grudgingly grabbed my towel from the banister and trudged into the white, marble bathroom that sat, upstairs first door on the right.I closed the door and clicked over the lock. Placing my phone on the cupboard I switched it on. Without looking my hands found their way to my favorite song playlist, and pressed the play button. The music clears my mind as I stripped down and turned on the shower. The water started of cold and then changed to warm. I hummed along to the music as I washed myself with my favorite body wash. 'Fairy floss.'
After about five minuets I reluctantly turned of the shower. Rapping a towel around my torso i scampered across the hall and into my own bedroom. I kept my music on while getting changed. I pulled on my blue ankle biters and a navy blue T-shirt with white stripes that my aunty had gotten me last year from France. I left my dripping hair down and walked back across to the bathroom. I loved this t-shirt but I never wore it.
After checking myself and telling myself that this was as good as it was going to get I walked back down the stairs to find something to eat. Jay had taken Cora home as she was feeling well enough to stand. The lounge room was an open area. It was square shaped with four rooms joined into one. The kitchen sat open, next to the open dining room and then the lounge room took up the remaining half of the square. It was very quite I noted as I grabbed a packet of Oreos. Billy was sitting on the couch watching her favorite movie. 'Angus thongs and perfect snogging' if I must say so myself I find that movie odd. But some parts are funny and remind me of myself and my friends.
I sat down next to her, although she didn't relize. To my understanding Alice and gone to college for a lecture on something, and then to lunch with a friend. Jay was in his "room" which actually was one of the spare rooms. Speaking of spare rooms we now had none. As Alice and Jay both had taken up one each and this was only a five bedroom house.
I let my eyes shut close and I felt my head fall heavy. That was the last thing I remember
"Cleo." Someone pushed me. "Cleo wake up!" This time the push was more of a thud as I fell onto the floor. "Ouch!" I said rubbing my head and I looked up to find the culprit. Billy sat wide eyed at me. Her white flower printed jumpsuit hung loosely on her thin stick like body. "What was that for?" I accuse. "Dad called, they are coming back early due to bad weather." She said snagging the last Oreo with her fingers. I stood up and stretched. "When are they coming back?"
"Well yesterday they said tomorrow. So that must mean, oh yeah today." She grinned. "Wait they called yesterday?" I ask. Billy nodded. "Why didn't you tell me they rang?" . "You were at the party." She shrugged. I sigh and turn to survey the room. It's a mess.
"Come on then we have to clean up." I say shoving her off the pillows and straightening them up. "Okay, I'll sweep the floor and you can vacume." She says. "No, I'll sweep you vacume." I insist. She sighs and walks off to find the vacume.
I sweep the kitchen and the tiled areas up stairs. I put the broom away and pop in to see how billy is going. Only to find her giggling and vacuuming her head..... "Bills what are you doing?" I shout over the noise. "When you suck up your hair it straightens it." She laughs again as her hair is blown out. Her usual wavy blonde ringlets are straight. She's right. I sit down in front of her and she sucks up my hair. And just like hers it comes out straight. We laugh and straighten everything in the lounge room with tassels or hair. We don't relies when Flynn walks down stairs, holding his phone, we didn't realize he was filming with his phone. We didn't realize until he spoke. "You guys look like your having fun eh?" He snorts. Both our heads snap up to his. Billy turns the vac off and we stare up at him. It takes about three minutes for anything to happen and at that three minuet mark a lot of things happened simultaneously. Such as billy and I launching ourselves at Flynn phone or Flynn getting knocked down or me landing on top of him.
"Give me that phone!" Billy shrieks as she runs off with it. I gulp, get up and follow her. We hide in the laundry shoot using our feet to hold our selves up. "Give me back my phone!" Flynn yells. "I'll find you...." He warns. Billy giggles mischievously, but soon stops when she discovers this make you slip further down the shoot. The laundry shoot is something we use a lot. Your supposed to put your laundry down it and it would land in the laundry but billy and I love sliding down it.
"Have you deleted it?" I whisper. "Uh yep." Billy shuffles uncomfortably. "Billy stop moving, or you'll get us found out!" I hiss. At that moment the laundry shoot door swings open. "Too late!" Flynn's head pokes through. Billy screams and drops down and I follow after. We land with a thud in the laundry and we hear Flynn's laughter form upstairs. It takes a moment or too before we start laughing too.
