"Ma!! Karina Brown wake up girl!!" Nilan yelled as she shook Karina who finally managed to get some rest a few hours ago.
"Nilan-"
"Aht!" Nilan put one hand up and her other hand over her nose. "That dragon breath almost ruined my day." She took a few steps back and uncovered her nose.
"Get out my room Chris jr." Karina said slowly sitting up and rubbing her eyes.
"Gladly." Nilan snickered and left the room, leaving Karina to do her morning routine. After she finished, she went to Zaire's room to wake him up if Nilan hadn't already.
"Zai- oh good morning." Karina said walking into his room.
"Mornin."
"How long you been up?" She laid across the end of his bed.
"All night." Karina frowned.
"Why?"
"I was on the phone with Za'Niyah while she did her hair and lashes." Karina smiled widely. "Dang you look real gummy right now." Zaire laughed loudly and she smacked her lips.
"You and your sister got one more time to talk about me." She laughed and shook her head. "I was smiling because I remember when your dad I were friends...I think this was around Thanksgiving...yea it was. Anyways I had just got my nails and toes done and he wanted to see," Karina put her fingers to the side of her mouth and whispered "he was a weirdo." Zaire laughed and continued to listen. "After that he watched me touch up my lashes and we shared a few more laughs."
"When did you know you liked him?" Zaire sat up and put his back against the headboard.
"You been in the gallery lately?" Karina asked.
"Nah, why?"
"Next time you go, you will see a painting in there titled Beauty In Nature. That's a painting your dad did for me wayyyyyyy back." Karina chuckled softly and Zaire smiled. "There's many paintings in there of me and for me but that one holds a special place in my heart."
"You really love him, huh?" Zaire asked seeing the love his mother had for his dad in her eyes. She smiled and nodded her head.
"Love him more than chicken wings." Zaire gasped and covered his mouth causing Karina to laugh loudly. "You are so dramatic." She got off the bed and went to hug and kiss him.
"I love you ma." Zaire said as he squeezed his mother.
"I love you too. Go ahead and do your morning routine so we can head out soon." Karina left and shortly knocked on Ever's door. "E? You up?"
"Yes come in." Karina opened the door and saw Ever sitting at the piano.
"Whatcha doin?" Karina asked as she sat across from him.
"Absolutely nothing."
"You still haven't written anything yet?" Ever shook his head. He's had writers block since Chris left and it was starting to frustrate him. "Well don't stress over it. It'll come to you at a random moment."
