"Ughh." Karina groaned as she opened her eyes. She had a banging headache from crying last night that she wanted to stop immediately. She crawled out of bed and walked to the bathroom with her eyes closed, not wanting the sun to make her headache worse.
She opened the medicine cabinet and grabbed three ibuprofen's from the bottle before popping them in her mouth and swallowing them dry. She lied back down for a while before going downstairs to check on Nilan and the other girls.
"Good morning ma!!" Nilan said loudly.
"Good morning Mrs.Brown!" The other girls said. Karina smiled at them and gave each one a hug.
"Good morning ladies, what y'all down here doing?"
"We ate breakfast like two hours ago and now we are waiting for you so we can go zip lining." Mercedes said.
"Okay well let me get dressed really quickly and then we can go." Karina smiled and walked upstairs with Ashley and Janiyah behind her.
"You sure you want to go?" Janiyah asked.
"You should stay here and rest. We got the girls." Ashley said.
"I don't want to be in this house alone. I'm fine, I promise." Karina said looking at the two. They nodded their heads before leaving the room and allowing Karina to get changed. She went downstairs and grabbed her phone from the kitchen and saw that it was on 20%. She saw a bunch of missed calls and unread text messages from Sage.
Sage💚: what's going on ova there?! 12:10 am Sage💚: how the hell Niyah text me all serious and shit and y'all don't answer?! 12:35 am Sage💚: do I need to come ova there??? 1:30 am
Karina sighed and texted him back.
I fell asleep, Sage. We're about to take the girls zip lining and then I will call and explain everything. 11: 26 am
Karina put her phone in her purse and walked out the door, making sure to lock it. When she stepped onto the party bus the girls cheered.
"Finally! And you say I take forever to get dressed." Nilan said causing everyone to laugh. The driver pulled off and they headed to the Pacific Crest to do the Mountain View Tour. Karina tried her best to put on a fake smile and it was working for half of the tour, but the other half she spent away from the girls so they wouldn't see that anything was wrong. She couldn't help but to think about Chris and his drug addiction. 'How long has he been doing drugs?' 'Why is he doing drugs?' 'Should I have known and seen the signs?'
