Long time ago
Sweet life on deck
He grabbed my hands
And made me dance
Brown eyes touched mine
Although a bit older
There was beauty in his glances
Softness in his movements
Grace in his smile
And a woman in his hand
With the shape of a golden ring
So I step aside
Admiring from afar
Beauty of that man
At what cost would I have mine?
Certainly not at the side
Of another woman's suffering
Oh my, my, such a delight
French art was always my kind
Maybe I'll go to Paris
Someday, to catch up
What could have been in the deck
And maybe she'll be dead by then
So we can rekindle this dance
And consume this infatuation that started
Long time ago.

The way things happen in a year
Kills every single atom of innocence
Left in my heart, just to be followed
By cells of adulthood that are covering
The whole existence of my body and mind
Somehow,  unnecessary
To keep growing up, whatever for?
For days to be gray and boring
Losing people we admire the most
Breaking our hearts while loving those
Who are not worth at all?
To keep growing up, whatever for?
For days to be rainy or sunny
Where your heart feels blue so nothing matters
But to not face frustration, reach the acclaimed success
Otherwise, we are not worth at all, right?
Somehow, completely devastating
You're just standing in the middle of nowhere
Remembering and taking refuge in the past
Because it's the only atom of happiness left
In the body we are doomed to carry on this life
The way things happen in a year.
