Sheva's pov
Her house
February

As I stepped into the dimly lit living room, the comforting scent of lavender wrapped around me. But tonight, it felt more like a shroud, stifling and heavy. I closed the door quietly behind me, my heart still racing from the night I'd spent with Dean. I expected to find my mother, Lilith, engrossed in her book as usual, but the moment she looked up, I could tell she sensed that something was off.

"Hey, sweetie." She greeted, her voice warm but edged with concern. "How was your night?"

I forced a smile, the kind that felt more like a mask than a reflection of my true feelings. "It was good. Just hanging out.

"Hanging out?" She echoed, raising an eyebrow. "You've been spending a lot of time with that Winchester boy."

"Dean." I corrected reflexively, but the weight of the conversation was already shifting.

Lilith's expression darkened, concern morphing into something more serious. "Sheva, you need to be careful."

I felt a knot tighten in my stomach. "I know, Mom. But it's not like that. Dean and I—"

"—have some kind of connection?" She interrupted gently but firmly. "I understand that. But these boys bring chaos wherever they go. You need to think about your future, especially with your father likely to show up again."

"Can't we just... talk about this? They offered to help us.." I begged, desperation creeping into my voice. "I need more time."

"More time? For what?" Lilith pressed, her tone firm. We need to get back to our universe." Lilith's gaze softened, and I could see the flicker of understanding in her eyes. "I get it, I really do. But you have to be smart about this. Those boys are not just hunters; they're part of a world that you don't fully understand. They have enemies, and those enemies could come after you."

"I know the risk." I replied, my voice quieter now, determination replacing my earlier desperation. "But Dean... he's different. He sees me for who I am, not what I'm supposed to be. I can't just walk away from that. Besides he is leaving for a while. We just said our goodbye's." I replied, holding back tears.

"Sweetheart," Lilith said, reaching out to take my hands in hers, "I just want to protect you. You're my daughter. I can't watch you throw yourself into danger, especially when your father could show up at any moment."

Taking a deep breath, I steadied myself. "I promise I'll be careful. Just give me a little more time. I'll figure out a way to make this work. I'll find a way to escape—not just from him, but from everything that's been controlling my life."

Lilith looked conflicted, worry etched into her features.

"We need to return eventually." Lilith continued.

"I know it, but I need some more time."
