Tim's POV
I heard my phone ring and Angela picked up for me.
"Tim are you home?!"
Lucy sounded panicked and petrified.
"Um... No I'm driving looking for you. Where are you?"
"I just got back. Can you come please, now"I sped up to exactly the speed limit and make it back.
As I walked in Lucy practically ran up to me and Juniper.
"Are you ok Tim? Did anything happen to either of you?"
"No Luce. We're all fine. What's wrong with you?"Angela's POV
"Tim can you go make us some food I need to talk to Angela?"
Wow, Lucy never wanted to talk without Tim.
What was so serious I had her acting like this?
"Um sure. Pasta ok?"
"Great thanks."
Tim left the room, looking back a few times to ensure Lucy was fine.
"What's wrong Lucy?"
"You need to take Tim and Juniper and leave. I can't know where, but it needs to be safe. Tell him your taking them on a holiday or something, another country would be best."
"What? Why?"
"Don't ask questions Angela. I know your a detective but just don't. For me. Please just do as I say."
I nodded and Lucy called Tim back into the room."Hey Tim? Lucy's taking us all on a holiday. Me, Wesley, Jack you, Juniper and Lucy. We leave tomorrow morning."
Tim seemed skeptical but my lie held up.
*Later that night*
Somehow I had managed to book enough first class tickets for everyone.
Wesley, Jack, Tim, Juniper and myself.
We were going to stay in a village in northern Norway. It was easily accessible byt also very secure. If I was assuming correctly, Lucy wasn't safe. And she had asked to make sure Tim and Juniper were. Even if I wholeheartedly disagreed with Lucy not coming with us, I would at least honour her request.Tim's POV
I woke up in the early hours of the morning with all of the holiday bags packed. It seemed spontaneous but Lucy was often like that so maybe I wasn't out of the ordinary.
I got in the car and drove to the airport, the drive punctuated by Juniper's talking and pointing out different things she knew the names of.
Making it to the airport I saw everyone but Lucy was there but Angela started walking in already.
"Um Ange? Where's Lucy?"
"Oh, she couldn't get tickets on our flight so she has one in a few hours."
I nodded and continued through passport control. It was that night that I started to realise that Angela was definitely keeping something from me. Lucy was, by Angela's timeline, meant to be here at least three hours ago. Angela would have said if her flight was delayed.
"Angela. Tell me the truth."
Angela sighed and seemed to be weighing her options.
"Fine Tim."
I waited for Angela to start talking."Lucy isn't coming. She just said to take you and Juni somewhere safe, preferably another country. That was all she said. I don't think she's safe Tim, but I don't know why or how long she won't be safe."
Lucy was in danger."I'm leaving."
I ran up the stairs and started throwing my most needed items into a suitcase.
Angela came up behind me and started unpacking my things as I added them to the case.
"Angela Lopez let me leave and see Lucy""No Tim. If she's in danger she will do something stupid to try and protect you if your there."
Inodded, trying to make myself believe that Lucy would be fine. If nothing else, I needed to be there for our daughter.
Anyway, Lucy and I weren't on the best terms right now so me gone back probably wouldn't be great.Lucy's POV
I checked my watch again. Tim would definitely know something was up by now.
That gave me a few days at absolute most until he convinced himself I need help.My phone buzzed, it was Grey.
'Station now. Bring enough clothes for a week.'
I went to my bedroom, grabbing some outfits and shoving them into a bag before getting other essentials and driving to the station.
"Oh thank god your ok Lucy"
Grey seemed panicked.
"What's wrong? Why do I have to be here?"
"It's Rosalind."
Rosalind. I hadn't received a call from her today, I was meant to get one a few minutes ago.
"She escaped."Escaped?! How the hell did she escape?!
"How?"
"Five guards dead, three other inmates. Escaped with help of the warden, who's body was found five minutes ago dumped in the woods near your house."
Well that was just great.
Now there was a serial killer on the loose who had a vendetta against me.
I was not leaving the station for at least a few weeks at this rate.
I texted Angela.Angela's POV
My phone buzzed with a text from Lucy.
'stay there. Rosalind escaped. She's almost definitely coming to kill me.'Oh god.
Apparently Rosalind was out of jail again.
I turned on the TV and put in the news.
On every channel was Rosalind's face.
'Rosalind Dyre escapes again'
'serial killer escapes'
'Dyre is out'
Tim walked in the room and turned to me.
"Rosalind escaped?!"
I nodded sadly.
"That's it I'm definitely going home to get Lucy"
At this point I had to agree.
Rosalind was dangerous, and it was our job to get her back into jail. Hopefully for good this time.Lucy's POV
I severely underestimated how boring the station was. No patrol, no cases so solve.
I was under station arrest to protect me from a serial killer. And apart from Grey, no one else was here.
Another officer walked in.
Probably someone from the night shift although they had all been made to search for Rosalind.I saw the other officer walk over to Grey before coming over to talk to me.
I didn't hear Grey's body hit the floor before the needle went into my arm.
I looked up.
Yeah that wasn't an officer.
The woman in front of me was Rosalind Dyre.
I heard the thud of my body collapsing and saw Rosalind smirk before everything went black.
