It's a Sunday morning, and you and Nicholas are preparing for a relaxed service at a Christian church he's been eager to visit with you. He's all dressed up, a simple yet thoughtful outfit that shows he wants to look his best for both you and the occasion. He glances over at you with a soft smile as you finish getting ready. "You look amazing," he says warmly. "Ready to go worship together?"
The church is nestled in a neighborhood filled with greenery, and as you both walk inside, you're greeted with warm smiles from people of all ages. The atmosphere is welcoming and peaceful, with soft worship music playing as people take their seats, some already closing their eyes in quiet prayer. Nicholas finds you both a spot, his hand lightly resting on your back, guiding you through the crowd. You can feel his quiet excitement—it's clear that he wants to share this experience with you in a meaningful way.
As the service begins, Nicholas takes your hand, holding it gently as the worship team starts playing. The music fills the room, inviting everyone to join in. Nicholas closes his eyes, listening to the words and swaying slightly to the beat, lost in the moment. His voice joins in softly, and you feel yourself smiling, touched by the way he's fully immersed in the experience.
When the pastor steps up to speak, he starts with a simple, heartfelt message about gratitude and finding purpose. You notice Nicholas nodding along, his expression thoughtful and peaceful, as if he's taking each word to heart. Every now and then, he glances over at you with a smile, his hand squeezing yours gently, like he's sharing this moment of reflection with you alone.
After the message, there's a time of prayer, and Nicholas shifts closer to you, bowing his head, his eyes closed, his expression serene. He whispers a quiet prayer, and you feel a surge of warmth as he finishes, giving you a look that's both comforting and grounding.
When the service wraps up, Nicholas looks at you with a gentle smile. "I'm really glad we did this together," he says softly. "There's something special about sharing faith like this."
You head out to the church courtyard where a few people are mingling. Nicholas stops, suggesting you both take a moment by a small prayer wall where people have left little notes and prayers. You take a quiet moment there, and Nicholas places a hand on your shoulder, a reassuring warmth that feels like he's fully there, in this moment, with you.
As you leave, you both walk side by side, the quiet peace from the service lingering between you. Nicholas slips his hand in yours, his fingers lacing with yours naturally, and he glances over with that soft, knowing smile. "Maybe this can be our thing," he says gently. "Coming together like this."
A/N: I thought this was a good imagine to write that's cute. To get personal if you will, I have always been a Christian but I didn't fully live like God wants his children to live until recently. I've been praying more and one thing that has helped me the most is writing cute notes in my journal, making them colorful and pretty to look at and look back on when I need that specific reminder. Please do not think by me saying this that I'm trying to push my religion on you. I simply just love talking about my faith and if you are willing to listen, I'll talk. Anyways, I hope you had a great day and God bless!
