5. Prom

"Elena, let me take you out of town. You can't stay coopted up in the house forever." Matt pleads once again as Elena finally gives in.

"Alright, alright."

Matt started to drive Elena out of town with his truck. He tried to strike a conversation with Elena, when everything went wrong. Rebekah stood in the middle of the road, and suddenly came into view.

"Matt, watch out!!!" Elena screeched as Matt swerved the car over the bridge, crashing into the water.

Without knowing I grab the sheets around me, tugging at them as I shrieked out in sorrow, like I'm the one being punished.

"Calm down, darling... Shhh... shhh it's not your fault." I quickly opened my eyes, that were soon filled with tears. I was gasping out for air, as if I was suffocated.

Kol's warm arms wrapped around me, as my crying died down. It had been two days since Elena was turned into a vampire. And for two whole nights, I suffered.

Now Kol was running his hand down my hair, petting me almost. "She's alright, darling. Elena's not gone forever you know." Kol whispered.

I only nodded my head.

My eyes flickered over the clock- midnight. I sighed sadly and looked into Kol's dark colored eyes.

"I can't believe I'm asking you this- but can you compell me to go to sleep without having these nightmares haunt me?" I pleaded.

These nightmares started to take their toll on Kol as well.

Kol cupped my face with both of his hands. "Go to sleep and forget of these nightmares." Almost instantly, I went back to sleep.

Right around Elena's transition, the town council- well most of the town council, died in an explosion. And apparently there was a vampire hunter in town.

I thought that today would be just a girls' day. Just me, Elena, Caroline, and Bonnie.

"I heard that there's this new club in town. You guys wanna go tonight?" Caroline suggested.

"Sure." Bonnie, Elena, and I said simultaneously at the same time.

Bonnie and Caroline went out of the room to get a drink, while I was left with Elena.

"I heard about your nightmares, Olivia." I looked up at Elena puzzled. But then that's when I remembered. A few nights ago, I begged Kol to compell me so I'd forget. I'm now on vervain, because Kol might do it again without me asking.

"It's not your fault. Please don't blame yourself." Elena came over to me, engulfing me into a hug. In a matter of seconds, she pushed me away. You could see the black veins pulsating underneath her eyes.

She was hungry, like she had been starving herself for days. "Elena. When's the last time you drank blood?" Elena wasn't answering, her hunger completely taking over her. Meaning that I was her main course.

"Elena!!" I screeched, making everyone come back into the room. Unknowingly, Damon entered, who pushed back Elena and was now trying to talk her back into reality.

"Are you alright?" Bonnie asked me.

"Yeah I'm fine."

***Later on that night***

Girls night out turned into a Damon/girls night out. The entire night I had danced with Bonnie and Caroline while Damon and Elena snuck off somewhere. Probably to feed. I mean I wasn't urked out by the whole 'party and suck blood' thing, but I mean, if it meant Elena was going to be living a normal healthy vampire life. Then yeah, sure.
