2. The Mikaelson Ball

My body was shaking and I could hear erupting laughter around me, once I woke up I saw that it was Caroline and Elena trying to wake me up. I groaned loudly. "Leave me alone..."

"Your mom called us up last night about the whole Kol thing." Elena says sitting down on my right side.

The letter and the dress?

"You aren't the only one who got a dress from them." Caroline added, rolling her eyes.

"Lemme guess, from Klaus?" I asked while she nods her head.

Then complete silence filled the room for what seemed like hours, but my mom did a good job filling that in.

"Girls, why don't you get ready for tonight?" My mom asks peeping her head through my door.

Elena and Caroline turned their head towards me at the same time, and I was pretty terrified at what the day was to come to. Caroline went through my closet and took out light overalls with a white T-shirt. Actually one of my favorite outfits.

Once I changed, we left the house with Elena driving us somewhere. But before we actually left the house I had written a note to Kol, so I could give it to him later on tonight.

"So did Kol bother you yesterday?" Elena asks me only glancing my way.

"I mean kinda." I reply.

After the conversation finished we arrived at the... salon? Caroline turned back at me and gave me a smile.

"We're gonna get our hair and nails done, like old times." Caroline says making me smile. Life before all the supernatural crap was amazing, I mean, we all didn't have to worry about dying.

When we were in the salon, I had gotten my hair curled and nicely styled to be on one of my shoulders. For my nails I had gotten the same color as my dress.

Before we knew it, it was getting late; so we started to head home where we changed into our dresses. While Elena was helping me out with my makeup, she started to tell me about how she was to meet Esther Mikaelson privately tonight.

"Be careful Elena, I have a weird feeling about her." Meanwhile I've never even met her, Esther, and here I'm judging.

"Don't worry I will," Elena says as she finishes my makeup, "and walah!" She says as she turns me around to look into the mirror.

"Thank you so much Elena!" I turned and hugged her with a smile. Caroline looked out the window and spoke up, "Stefan's here. Ready guys?" Elena and I nodded.

When we made our way downstairs, my mom had made it to the door first. "Why hello Stefan. It's been a while, how are yo-" As soon as she asked I cut her off.

"Mom we have to go." I said as Stefan laughed

"Wait before you all leave, can I take a picture of all of you?" My mom asked as she got her camera.

"Sorry guys." I say sort of embarrassed.

"No, no its fine." Stefan says with a laugh.

As soon as my mother got back I fixing my posture and forced a smile as she took what seemed like 100 pictures of us.

"Okay kids have fun!" My mom waves towards us as we left.

Our car pulled up to the Mikaelson residence where a ton of people from the town had entered all dressed nice for the event.

Stefan let us all out first while he parked the car, meanwhile Elena practically ran to the entrance and went in without us. From outside you can see Damon admiring Elena as she entered the building. He couldn't peel his eyes off her. Just then me and Caroline entered the building just as Damon approached Elena.
