Regrouping the next morning violet, JJ, pope, and Kiara head back to the scene of the crime looking for the drain the gun fell down. Tensions were still high between Violet and Kiara as they reached the furthest away drain where the gun had most likely washed up.

Looking down at the trash, Violet scrunched her face before pulling out her phone. A message from Rafe waiting which made her smile. Unknowns to her that he too had to deal with seeing gavins dead body that night, helping his dad dispose of it.

JJ looks around "This is the north drain. It should've gotten washed into the gully." He explains "So, if it got flushed out from this drain, it would've been pushed out to, like-"

"Somewhere in this trash?" Pope cuts JJ off, finishing what he was going to say as they looked down at all the trash.

Kiara scoffs, looking around at all the trash surrounding the ocean bank "Oh my God." She scrunches her face in disgust "People who use plastic should be shot."

"I thought you'd say something like that, so..." pope pulls out some trash bags, watching as kiaras scowl changed to a smile "trash bags." He began to hand out the trash bags to each of the pogues

"Did you just proactively protect the environment?" Kiara asked, taking a trash bag from pope

Pope blushed lightly as Violet and JJ shared a look of confusion "Maybe." Pope whispered

JJ raised his eyebrows "You want us to leave you two alone, or?"

"what's going on?" Violet questioned, speaking at the same time and jj

"Just pick up the trash." Pope shakes his head, beginning to clear the area, looking for the gun.

After a while of cleaning up all the trash, Violet realises the gun is nowhere to be seen. "It's not here." She sighs, closing over her trash bag and tossing it aside.

"If it's not in the trash, then it's gotta be in the storm drain." Pope points towards the drain, hand on his hip as he spoke up

Jj sighs "It's in... it's in the drain." He adjusts his hat as he looks around at the group "Good thing I brought the crow." He grins as he goes into his bag, pulling out a crowbar

"So, are we gonna do, like, rock, paper, scissors?" Violet questions, wanting to figure out who was going in the drain.

Kiara nods in agreement "Or alphabetically? Or, like, the oldest goes?" She suggests, trying to find a fair way to agree

Jj and pope shake their heads as they pull the barrier off the drain "In the sewer, there's this worm that you get when you're down there. It gets into your blood, and then it has to come out your pecker." JJ looks over at the girls "So, uh... that would be a hard pass for me."

"That's gonna be a no for me." Pope agrees, not wanting to go in the drain

Violet looks over at Kiara who instantly shakes her head "I would.. but I'm wearing new shorts so.." she lies, not wanting to go in the drain either

Pursing her lips, Violet nods "yeah, No, I get it." She moves closer to the drain, looking inside "I get it. You guys are scared."

JJ shakes his head, growing defensive "I'm not scared."

"It's kind of cute." Violet laughs as she quickly ties her hair into a ponytail "You don't have to be scared. I'll do it."

Pope nods "Okay, just, you know, be careful.." he didn't want to admit that he was a little scared of the drain and didn't like the idea of any of the pogues going inside
