Violet couldn't sleep that night.. she kept thinking about her death sentence the following day. Staring up at the ceiling she was trying to think of a plan.. she could lie and say she had the diary, letting Kiara and Rafe go free. She could fight and try make a run through the multiple armed guards and watch towers. Each plan in her mind, ending in her death.. it was no use. She was going to die.

Looking to the left of her, she noticed Rafe had now sat up and was looking out into the distance "can't sleep either..?" Violet broke the silence, speaking quietly to not wake Kie.

"No.." Rafe breathed out, keeping his gaze out of the window

Violet carefully climbs out of bed, walking over as she sits by him. An awkward silence filling the air as they sit side by side.

Turning his head slightly to look at Violet, Rafe frowns "Violet." He broke the silence an aching feeling filling his chest "I'm sorry about what happened on the boat I-"

"I don't want to talk about that.." Violet cuts him off. She didn't want to relive the betrayal they both had with each other.

Rafe shakes his head "No Vi uh.. I need you to hear it" there's a shakiness to his voice as Violet goes silent, listening to what he had to say "My dad coming back from the dead it was uh" he rubs in between his eyes before turning to make eye contact with Violet "Well it's no excuse for what I did to you and I don't blame you for betraying me" he frowns "I wanted us to be a family.. I wanted to have it all and I.. I"

"Rafe.." Violet sighs, placing her hand over his "it's okay.." her frown matches his. She couldn't quite understand the hold they had on each other.. even after everything.

Rafe began to rub his finger across her hand "Do you think we could forget it ever happened?" He asks hopefully. If they were going to die, he wanted to die in a good place with Violet.

Violet nods, her eyes darting around his face "You changed your hair?" She smiled softly as Rafe chuckled "I never thought I'd see you again vi.. I missed you. I do miss you."

"We should get some sleep rafe.." Violet reaches up, cupping his face with her hand before forcing herself to pull away from him completely "who knows what's going to happen to us tomorrow"

Banging and yelling can be heard as Violet shoots up from her sleep "Hey. I need to talk to Mr Singh." kiara can be heard knocking the door to the guard "I have something to tell him it's important."

"Kie what are you doing? " Violet asks, confused to what she was doing as the guard opened the door, guiding Kie out.

Instantly jumping out of bed she rushed over to the door, pulling on the handle "kiara!" Violet yells, waking rafe up.

"Violet.. what are you-" rafe began to speak as Violet spun around freaking out "Kiara went to singh."

Rafe sits up, he is now too freaking out "what.. where is she? What is she?"

"She just yelled to speak to him and now she's gone rafe. What if something happens? What is she going?" Violet began to pace as Rafe stood up, carefully taking her shoulders in his hands. "Violet I need you to calm down okay.."

"I can't calm down Rafe! What if she gets hurt?" Violet frowns, freaking out majorly. Unknown to her that in that moment Kie was discussing leaving her and Rafe there as collateral in order to find the pogues then come save Violet

"Inside!" A guard shoved Kiara back in, Rafe being the first one to notice her "what happened?" He asked only to be met by silence.

Rafe lets go of Violet as he steps towards Kiara "You're gonna have to talk to me at some point"
