First up, there's ChoCho Akimichi, my long-time best friend. She's got dark skin, amber eyes, and brown hair that's almost orange. Her build is on the heftier side, and thankfully she's super confident about it. Her parents run a pretty successful shop downtown, which she's always involved with.

When we first met, I was a bit intimidated by her. She's loud, energetic, and just full of life, but over time, I got used to it. Eventually, we became really close. Her energy rubbed off on me, and I realized how caring and fun she really is. We've been tight ever since.

Next up, Sumire Shigaraki—though she  goes by Sumire Kekai. She lost both her parents at a young age; her dad, who was abusive and heavily involved in gangs, died in prison. To stay safe from his enemies, Sumire changed her last name. She's been through so much for someone so young.

Physically, she has long purple hair in braids, a style her mom used to do for her, which is her way of honoring her. She's the class representative and has a passion for science and technology. She spends her weekends taking science courses. She's usually quiet and shy, but she's comfortable around her friends.

Next is Boruto Uzumaki. Our parents are close friends, so we practically grew up together— I guess you could say he's my childhood best friend. He used to be super energetic and loud, but over time, he became quieter and his smile faded. I've been really worried, but lately, he's starting to act like himself again.

He has short blond hair and blue eyes. And yeah, you could say he's a "nepo baby." His mum, Aunt Hinata, is a real-life princess, and his dad, Naruto Uzumaki, is the mayor of our village. Hokage-sama is one of my biggest idols, and coincidentally  Boruto looks up to my dad.

Ironic

Even though they're pretty well-off, Boruto and his family are really humble and never flaunt their status.

Shikadai Nara. You could also say he's a bit of a "nepo baby." His mum, Aunt Temari, is also a real-life princess, and one of his uncles is the mayor of Sunagakure, a village that's close to Konoha. His other uncle works as kazekage sama's right hand man. Meanwhile His dad, Uncle Shikamaru is Hokage-sama's right-hand man. On  Uncle Shikamaru's side, they even own an entire forest where they take care of a whole herd of deer. The hospital where my mom works sometimes uses their antlers to make medicine. It makes sence him and Boruto are best friends.

Shikadai has teal eyes and mid-length black hair that he usually ties up. So I was a little surprised to see him with it half-down, with some side bangs falling loose—it's a cool change.

Mitsuki Otoga. He is a transfer student from Otogakure. His parent, Orochimaru-san, is not only the mayor there but also used to be my father's teacher. Mitsuki has this striking look—white-blue hair that's always a bit messy, thin eyebrows, golden eyes, and a pale complexion.

I'll be real, Mitsuki is kind of strange, but it's a good thing. Socializing doesn't come naturally to him since he never really learned how to do it growing up. So he's always figuring things out on his own, like  studying human behavior. He borrows tons of books from the library to understand people better. He's also pretty fixated on Boruto, who was his first friend here, which is honestly kind of funny. Boruto's friendship clearly means the world to him, which explains why he acts the way he does.

And finally, there's Inojin Yamanaka. He's got shoulder-length blond hair tied back in a low ponytail, light blue eyes, and a pale complexion similar to Mitsuki's. Our families are close—our parents have been friends for years, especially our moms, so we all grew up together.

Inojin's mom, Aunt Ino, works as a doctor alongside my mom, and she also leads the sensory division and runs a flower shop. His dad, Uncle Sai, is the police chief. Inojin definitely takes after his dad with his love of art; he's so good at it that schools from all over invite him to join their programs, but he always turns them down. He's got a bit of a sassy streak and can be pretty blunt, but he's still a solid friend.

Since I've already described my friends, I guess it's time to talk about myself. I have long black hair that falls past my shoulders and dark eyes to match. My mom works as a doctor, and she's in charge of the hospital where she works. My dad, on the other hand, runs his own business as the CEO of a company he founded. Personality-wise, I'd say I'm a mix of quiet and observant, maybe a bit of a deep thinker, but I'm not afraid to jump into something new when I feel inspired. My friends mean the world to me, even though I'm pretty reserved, I feel comfortable enough to open up around them. We balance each other out.

...

Boruto playfully nudges me, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"ChoCho's right—you really do look schizophrenic ," he teases, grinning.

I laugh and give him a shove back, shaking my head as we all start gathering up our stuff. We fall in step together, still joking around as we make our way down the crowded hallway to find our assigned lockers.
