Shiro- Top alpha
Lance- bottom omega

Third Person POV

It was a usual day for the paladins of voltron. There was planning, training, the usual. They had heard of a planet nearby with similar natural resources to Earth and had planned a scout mission. Now, the planet seemed uninterrupted by the galran empire, and Coran couldn't find much information on its natural habitants, but they weren't worried.

Strangely, Lance and Shiro had been selected to go together on the black Lion. They shared a look before gearing up. They were both surprised but didn't argue. Lance had been harbouring a secret crush on the older paladin for quite some time, and it got worse with the fact that they lived up in space together. Shiro did return his feelings but kept them hidden. He was under the impression that Lance would be uninterested and also that he was a beta, so it wouldn't be worth pursuing, right? When Shiro had gone missing, he also missed this revealetaion of Lances's status. The whole group knew except him, and no one had clued him in yet.

They both grabbed their bayards and boarded black. Shiro got into the pilots seat, and Lance hung back. They flew quietly, awkwardly. Lance wasn't sure what to say. What do you say to pass the time to the guy of your dreams.

"I'm sorry, Lance." Shiro broke the silence.

"Huh?" Lance seemed confused.

"For lashing out at you, I realised I never actually apologised to you," he explained.

"It's no worries, Shiro, really, you're the leader, and you get stressed," he shrugged it off.

"Exactly, I'm the leader, I should act better, and besides, you fainted," he frowned.

He hadn't just fainted, Shiro had used his alpha voice on Lance, unaware of his omega status. With such a confrontation, it rendered Lance unconscious, which Shiro had assumed was him fainting from shock or well he never was actually sure what happened. Only Hunk and Coran were aware of this. They'd done a quick scan, but Lance insisted on keeping it secret. He didn't want Shiro to be guilty, and he didn't want to appear weak.

"Really, it's fine, you're only human," he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.

Shiro put black in charge of flying since they had the exact coordinates. He got up from his seat and approached Lance. He was quite close.

"Lance," he chuckled. "Please just accept my apology," he smiled sincerly.

"Ok, yes I do," Lance smiled back at him. "You're forgiven,"

"Thank you, Lance," he smiled.

He was very sincere and genuine. Black rocked a little, toppling Shiro a little. He fell towards Lance but caught himself, hands on the wall at each side of Lance's face. It looked as though he was pinning him there. Lance blushed a little and looked up at him. Shiro's own cheeks flushed a light pink as he stared back. He stared into Lance's eyes momentarily before pushing himself off the wall, clearing his throat.

"I uh, sorry for that," he stood awkwardly. "I should go back to piloting,"

"Ah yeah," Lance nodded.

Shiro walked back to his seat again. The lion seemed a lot more stable now. Shiro was confused but remained seated. She was still on auto pilot, so he was unsure on the issue. He scanned the area, and they were nowhere near any asteroid fields or anything they could have bumped into.

"Strange, nothing around," he thought a loud.

"I wonder then," Lance stepped towards Shiro's chair.

He stood at the side, trying to get a better look. He got a glimpse at the readings again before the lion rolled once more. Lance fell slightly, holding onto the chair. They both expressed surprise as it happened again. Lance fell over into the chair and onto Shiro's lap. They went red in the face.
