14: Admit it!

(IF YOU HAVE NOT READ MY MOONFLOWER FANFIC, "DON'T BREAK IT." DO SO NOW BECAUSE THE NEXT CHAPTER IS CHAPTER 3)

Shrimpo's POV:

Ow. My back hurts. My ribs hurt. Everything hurts. Where... am I? I try to shift around, but that fails when I wince in pain. EVEN WINCING HURTS NOW OH MY GOSH-

"Shrimpo, you awake?" Goob's soft voice asks me. I opened my eyes slightly. Goob is on the left side of me. He bounces on his seat. "YOU'RE BACK!!" He begins to hug me but he stops. "Is it okay to hug you, or are you still hurt?" I try to answer but my voice ends up dry and my throat hurts.

"Sure..." I rasp. Goob squeals and hugs me. I catch a glimpse of tears in his eyes. By this point, I'm strong enough to sit up. My head is fuzzy. The first thing that appears in my head is Dandy. The person who killed me. Speaking of which, how did I even get revived??

"So you're probably wondering how you are even alive at this point," Goob explains. "So I'll tell you! Basically after you died Dandy offered to revive you, and of course everyone said yes!" Dandy offered to revive me?? Even after he- maybe he felt grief or wanted to keep his true nature hidden, nevermind, it's definitely not grief. I'm sure that he can't even feel apologetic. "Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, Astro came by. I think when Astro came, Dandy suddenly said that he should heal you." Astro... huh. (Shrimpo don't try to use Astro as bait >:[)

"Does everybody know what happened?" I ask. Goob thinks for a moment.

"I guess? It's more of a rumor, really. Scraps was worried that when you woke up that you'd suddenly tell everybody." 

"Why do we keep it a secret?? I say we tell everybody!!!" I raise my voice. 

"Because! If we tell everybody, Dandy will get REALLY mad and he'll try to kill us all!" He shifts. "Dandy told us that himself." Goob says. I scoff.

"Pfft, I don't think that Dandy will have the guts to destroy Gardenview. This is basically everything that he's worked on." I argue.

"When you were dead yesterday, like on floor 38, Dandy told me that he wouldn't revive you, and that he will use his ichor to build more toons." He gulps. "If Dandy is as heartless as you say he is, then he won't hesitate to just- replace us all." He stops for a moment. I also stare at him. I sigh and look away. 

"Fine." I sigh in defeat. Goob holds my hand as he reassures me. 

"It's okay, if we find a way to block Dandy from turning twisted, then we'll tell everybody." I nod, while blushing. I guess this crush really won't go away after all. 

Poppy's POV:

I was walking around, and I was going to go check up on Shrimpo and Goob. Yin and Yang. Opposites attract. I saw the. Best. Thing. Ever. THEY WERE HOLDING HANDS!! And better yet, THEY WERE BOTH BLUSHING!!! I shouldn't tell Scraps this, but they look so cute together! I was peeking through the door, and I walk in, pretending like I wasn't spying. They both look alarmed as the quickly let go. 

"Oh, Shrimpo, you're awake!" I say. He nods. 

"Yeah... wait, is Goob and Scraps' room alright?" He asks. I shrug. 

"Kindaa...? I mean, we're working on repairing the walls and fixing pretty much everything, but I'm afraid that Scraps will have to sleep in my room again, and Goob will have to sleep in..." I trail off. I resist the urge to have a smug smile as I see Shrimpo finish my sentence with his room. Man, if they had a manga of this, then Boxten would love to read it!

"Uh..." Goob stutters. "Uhhh..." I wait for either one of them to suggest Shrimpo's room. Actually, it'd be more exciting if I just skipped ahead.

"How about you sleep in Shrimpo's room?" I suggest. I have my smug smile on.

"Oh! Well, I'm okay with it as long as Shrimpo says it's okay!" I can see both of their faces heat up. 

"...Fine." Shrimpo groans. Goob gets up. 

"Well, I should probably check in with Scraps. See ya!" He walks out of the room. Perfect.

"So, how's your relationship going~?" I ask. Shrimpo rolls his eyes.

"It's going great." He responds. 

"I'm surprised that Goob hasn't noticed the crush you have on him." I remark. His face heats up even more. 

"I don't have a crush on him!" He yelps. 

"Yes you do, it's perfectly obvious."

"Do not!"

"Do too!" 

"Nuh-uh!!"

"YUH-HUH!!"

"NO WAY!!!"

"YES WAY!!!!"

"UGH- WHATEVER." He huffs. "MAYBE I DO." Jackpot. "YOU BETTER NOT TELL ANYBODY THOUGH!!!" 

"I won't~" I tease. I walk out of the room. "Bye Shrimpo!" 

"Bye." He mutters. This is the best! I finally got the "ship" confirmed! I'm gonna try my best not to tell anybody... that'll be hard! I walk back to my room, and begin a drawing of Shrimpo and Goob. This is one of the best ships ever!!
