Do you know love
If you do, you'd know real love hurts
I'm talking about the type of hurt that sends coldness
through your veins and leaves you panting
I'm talking about the tightness in your chest
And the burning in your eyes when you see them happy
And you aren't the reason behind their smileHave you ever experienced the pain that comes with hearing the person that you love the most
Tell you that they gave themselves to someone else
Have you ever watched yourself cry
Thinking of everything you could've done differently
Real love is the worst thing you could ever experience
It's not something that you second guess
Wondering if this is it
Real love smacks you in the face just as hard as it stabs you in the heart
Real love makes you remember every terrible thing you've ever done
Making you try to counteract it with the good you could possibly do
Real love is the begging and crying and pleading
The knowing you two will always come back after leaving
Real love is constantly dragging each other along this crazy emotional rollercoaster
Because you love each other too much to accept seeing each other with someone else
Even though you know deep down you two should separate
Real love is telling each other EVERYTHING
No matter the stickiness of the spilled milk
Real love is sticking around when the person you love acts as if they don't love you today
Yet desperate for your affection tomorrow
Real love is never easy
It makes you work for it, fight for it, yearn for and sometimes die for it
Sacrifice is simply a mere delusion of love
You won't sacrifice anything with the person you love
Simply gain every heartache and tear that comes along with it
