5. Soccer

Lucillia's POV

It was lunch and I walked into the cafeteria awkwardly because I couldn't find anyone.

"Lucillia" Britney yelled from across the cafeteria.

All the students looked my way and I walked over to her with my head down in embarrassment.

"Great job with embarrassing the poor girl Britney" Blake said from underneath Britney.

"Sorry baby" she said kissing his neck.

I sat down next to Jesse and got introduced to everyone at the table.There was Milly, Stacie, Bianca, Eddie, Brad and Scott and they were all pretty nice. Milly kept giving me really bad looks so I felt pretty uncomfortable.

"What's wrong?" Jesse whispered in my ear, noticing my uncomfortableness.

"Milly keeps giving me bad looks and I don't know what I did"

"Oh don't worry about her, it's probably because she is Britney's best friend and it may seem that you are taking her away from her and it may also be that I sort of used to have a thing with her"

"Oh okay, well I don't want to be that new girl that is stealing her friends away from her" I said.

"Omg and she totally was like all over him and then he smiled at her, like what the hell, I thought he liked me!" Stacie told Bianca, I giggled quietly at there little talk and picked at my salad that my dad packed me.

My phone started ringing and Annie buzzed across the screen. I clicked the answer button and I heard a lot of loud "Hey Lucillia" through the phone.

"Hey guys" I said back.

"We miss you!" they yelled.

"Aw I miss you guys as well, it's not the same without you"

"Have you made heaps of new friends?" Annie asked sadly.

"Yeah Annie but don't worry you will always be my best friend and don't forget it. And don't go replacing me as your best friend"

"I would never! I think Levi wants to talk to you"

"Okay, bye Annie, I love you"

"Love you to"

"Hi baby" Levi said through the phone.

"Hi Leev"

"How's your school?"

"It's actually really good but I wish you were here"

"Me too baby but I will be visiting again soon and I will call you everyday remember"

"Yeah" I said sadly.

"Well I have to go to class but I will talk to you later"

"Okay Bye Leev, I love you"

"Love you to baby"

"Bye

"Bye" he said hanging up the phone.

I turned my phone off and put it in my pocket and noticed everyone was looking at me.

"Yes?" I asked nervously.

"Who were you talking to?" Blake asked.

"Just my friends and my boyfriend from my old school"

"Okay" they all said.

"I'm gonna go down to the oval and play some soccer if anyone wants to come?"

"Ew no, I do not want to go down there and get mud all over me" Britney said with a disguested look on her face.

"I will come" Blake and Jesse said at the same time.

We walked down to the oval and I turned back to look at the cafeteria and Britney was giving me a death stare out the window. Why does everyone hate me now?

We got to the oval and I took my toms off and put my soccer boots on.

Blake and Jesse put theirs on and we just kicked the ball around.

We decided to play some 1v1 and first up was Blake and Jesse.

They played against eachother and Blake won. They actually had the best friendship.

Next up was Jesse and I. Jesse let me go first but I told him that I didn't want to start, that he could. He gave me a weird look but took the ball anyways.

He kicked it a little bit down the field and he ran after it. I was good at everything so I had good defence and attack.

Just as he was about to go for a kick of the goal I tackled him and got the ball. I ran down the field and kicked an amazing goal.

I looked back at Jesse and he had his mouth open wide.

"What? How?"

"My dad was a very good soccer player, he taught me how to play"

"My turn" Blake said coming on the field while Jesse sulked off.

Mine and Blake's game was very competitive and whenever we went to score the other one would save it.

The bell rang so we called it a draw. I put my toms back on and headed to my last class of the day which was maths and I had it with Blake and Britney.

Blake and I walked to claths together and again he wouldn't stop flirting with me even though he knew I had a boyfriend. When Blake walked through the door Britney jumped on him wrapping her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist and they stared a pretty heated make out session right on one of the desks.

"You should come over tonight" Britney said running her hand down his chest.

"Yeah okay, what time?"

'Whenever you want to come over"

"Okay I'll text you"

She kissed him one last time before walking over to me and smiling.

The lesson went by pretty quickly and it was now the end of the day. I was walking through the car park and saw Blake making out with some brunette girl. What about Britney? I guess Blake is one of "those" guys. I texted dad to not come and pick me up because I was just gonna walk and have a kick of the soccer ball at the oval down the road from our house.

I got to the oval and started kicking the ball around and practicing my shots at goal.

"Excuse me?" A girls voice said from behind me.

I turned around and there was a girl standing there in blue skinny jeans, a black shirt and black boots.

"Yeah" I said smiling at her.

"You go to East Valley don't you. You're the new girl Lucillia"

"Yeah I am"

"You should try out for the soccer team tomorrow, you are a really good player"

"Thanks um when are the trials"

"Tomorrow on our school oval at 4pm"

"Okay I'll be there" I said packing up my things.

"Great! My name is Melinda by the way but just call me Mindy"

"Okay, well it was nice meeting you Mindy but I should be getting home now, I will see you at trials tomorrow"

"Great! See you then, it was nice meeting you as well Lucillia"

It was great that I was making a lot of friends here at East Valley but I will miss my friends from Crest Wood.

Hopefully everything goes well at soccer trials tomorrow!
