17. Xavier and Claudia

Lucillia's POV

I was waiting in the school carpark for mum to come and pick me up when I got a phone call... From mum.

"Hello" I answered.

"Hey sweetie, I'm really sorry but I can't pick you up from school cause Xavier and Claudia are over and Dean and Carter have gone to Crest Wood"

I groaned and hung up on her. God damn.

"Need a ride?" A voice said from a car beside me.

I looked and yes it was Blake. Stupid, hot, sexy Blake.

"If you don't mind" I said quietly.

"Not at all, get in"

I hopped in the passenger seat of his car and put my bag at my feet.

When he started driving out of the car park I could feel his eyes on me.

"So why didn't anyone pick you up?"

"My dad and my brother are in Crest Wood and my mum is at home with family so she couldn't leave to pick me up" I said quietly.

"Oh okay fair enough"

I nodded my head and he turned the volume down.

"So um how are you liking East Valley?"

"Good" I replied bluntly.

"Don't you miss your friends and your boyfriend?"

"No" I said trying not to cry.

"Why not?" He asked looking over at me quickly.

"Don't worry Blake"

"No I won't to know Lucillia. I care about you, I may be a player and pretty cold hearted but I genuinely care"

We pulled up in front of my house and I turned to look at him.

"My best friend slept with my boyfriend alright. He cheated on me with my bloody best friend!" I said before hopping out of the car.

I ran around to the other side of the car and fell into Blake's arms. He rubbed my back and hugged me tightly.

I hugged him tightly and cried into his chest.

"He doesn't deserve you Lucillia, he's a jerk if he did that and he's stupid to let a girl like you go"

I pulled out of the hug and he wiped my tears away.

"Thanks for um comforting me Blake"

"No problem, you can come to me any time"

"Thanks" I said quietly.

I gave him a tiny peck on the cheek and then he gave me my bag before I walked up the path to my front door.

I walked into the house and Uncle Xavier and Aunty Claudia were in the lounge room with baby Bentley. Claudia wasn't my aunty by blood but she was Xavier's wife so that's what I called her.

Xavier stood up and gave me a strong hug. He always spoilt me and treated me like a princess just like my dad.

"How you going Lu Lu?" He asked me using the nickname he gave me.

"Not that good Uncy Xav"

"Why not?"

"I broke up with Levi" I said sadly.

"Aw my poor baby" Claudia said rushing over to me after she gave Bentley to mum.

I gave her a hug and we all sat down on the couch.

Mum passed Bentley over to me and I sat him on my lap and started bouncing him up and down. He was 10 months old and was adorable.

"Bentley always loves coming over here cause of you Lucillia" Claudia said to me with a smile.

I smiled at her and kissed Bentley's little head.

"If you ever need me to look after Bentley I would love to. I love spending some time with him"

"Really?" Xavier asked.

I nodded my head and Claudia smiled at me.

"Yeah that sounds great!" Claudia said.

"Maybe this weekend you can watch him, maybe he can even sleep over" Claudia said excitedly.

"Yeah of course" I said smiling.

"How about if you guys come and watch Carter and Lucillia's soccer game and then leave Bentley with us and he can stay over that Saturday night and you guys can pick him up on Sunday"

"Sounds like a plan" Xavier said.

Bentley started squirming in my arms so I put him on the ground so he could crawl around.

He grabbed onto the coffee table and lifted himself up so he was standing.

"Xavier get out the camera, he might take his first steps" Claudia said excitedly.

Xavier got the camera out and started recording Bentley. I sat around 2 metres away from Bentley and started clapping my hands.

"Come here Bentley, come to Lucillia. You want some food"

I grabbed a biscuit and put it in my hand so Bentley could see. He smiled and started giggling and then took a step towards me but didn't let go of the table.

He let go of the table and slowly walked over to me. When he was about 2 steps away from me he nearly fell but I grabbed him and brought his little body closer to mine.

"Yay Bentley" I cooed.

He smiled and I gave him the tiniest bit of the biscuit that I had.

I have Bentley to Xavier and went upstairs to get some more comfortable clothes on.

I got into a hoody and some pyjama pants, put my hair in a ponytail and walked back downstairs.

When I got there Xavier and Claudia were standing up and giving mum a hug.

"Are you guys going already?" I asked sadly.

"Sadly yep"

"Okay well I will see you on Saturday then"

"Bye baby girl" Claudia said giving me a hug.

"Bye Lu Lu" Xavier said giving me a hug next.

"Bye guys, Bye Bentley" I cooed to him.

I can't wait until Saturday when I get to see them again.

I wonder what Carter and dad were doing right now?
