Jungkook hurried into his room, closed the door, and let out a sigh of relief. He placed the book he'd been carrying on his bed and moved toward the bathroom. Just as he was about to take a step, his foot slipped on the floor, and his ankle twisted sharply.

With a sharp gasp, he lost his balance and fell to the ground with a loud thud. Pain shot through his ankle, and he hissed in pain. He sat up straight despite the pain and glanced at the book on his bed. "Not now," he muttered to himself. Dragging his body slightly closer, he grabbed the book and placed it on the floor.

Suddenly, his door burst open with a loud bang, and all six of his brothers appeared, their faces painted with worry.

"Jungkook! What happened? Are you okay?" Jin asked, his voice trembling as he and Hoseok immediately knelt beside him. Jin cupped Jungkook's cheeks, inspecting him for any signs of injury.

Hoseok placed a hand on his shoulder. "Kook, did you fall? Are you hurt?"

"You alright hurt ?" Namjoon asked worried. " We hear noise."

"Hyungs clam down." Jungkook said."The book fall from the bed. That's why you heard the noise."

Yoongi scanned the room, his sharp eyes narrowing on the book lying on the floor feeling something is not right.

"Jungkook, are you telling us the truth?" Jimin asked with a suspicion tone.

Taehyung crouched down in concern. "Does it hurt anywhere? Don't lie to us, Jungkook."

Jungkook's heart raced as he felt all their eyes on him. He forced a smile, though his ankle throbbed in pain. "I'm fine, hyungs. Really." He glanced at Jimin and pointed at the book on the floor. "The book fell, and I was just picking it up. That's all."

Jimin tilted his head, unconvinced. "You're sure? You look pale, Kookie."

Jungkook hesitated, his mind racing. He couldn't tell them the truth. Not now. Jin's soft gaze was filled with concern, and Jungkook knew that if his eldest hyung realized he was hurt, he'd drop everything to care for him. Hoseok had an important board meeting, Namjoon was already stressed over his missing file, and Taehyung and Jimin had exams coming up.

He couldn't be the reason they all worried-again.

"Why would I lie?" Jungkook said with a small laugh, brushing his pants off as he stood up carefully, keeping most of his weight off his injured ankle. "See? I'm fine. You guys should go eat breakfast. I'll join you after I take a bath."

Jin didn't seem convinced, but Jungkook flashed him his most reassuring bunny smile. "I promise, hyung. I'm okay."

Jungkook glanced down briefly, avoiding their gazes. They don't need to know, he thought. Why should Jin hyung waste his time on me when he has his biological brothers? I'm just an orphan. I need to handle this on my own.

With one last forced smile, Jungkook urged them. "Go on, I'll be down soon."

The brothers exchanged uncertain looks before Jin finally stood up, though his expression was still worried. "Alright... but if anything feels off, you tell us immediately, okay?"

"I will," Jungkook lied, watching them leave reluctantly. As soon as the door clicked shut, his smile dropped, and he sat back down on the bed, wincing in pain.
