Music Institute, Day 2 of Class.
Alexander arrives early, eager to see Siya before the other students arrive. He finds her setting up in the quiet music room, humming softly to herself, lost in her own world.
Alexander: (approaching quietly) "That’s beautiful. What were you humming?"
Siya: (startled, then smiling) "Oh, it’s just an old Indian folk tune my father used to sing."
Her eyes briefly cloud with sadness, and Alex feels an unfamiliar pang in his chest.
Alexander: "Your father must be a talented musician to have passed that down to you."
Siya: (nodding) "Yes, he was my first teacher. Music connects us—it’s why I’m here, actually. I want to help him… especially now."
Alex can see the dedication in her eyes and feels himself drawn to her sincerity. His usual flirtations feel out of place, but he finds himself yearning to say something to ease her pain.
Alexander: "You must really love him. Not everyone would move halfway across the world like this."
Siya: (softly) "Some things are worth any sacrifice."
Alexander watches her, admiration flickering in his gaze, realizing he’s never met anyone with such innocence and purpose. The conversation is interrupted as other students begin filtering in, and Alex reluctantly steps back into his “student” role.

Later that day, outside the Institute.
After class, Alex watches from a distance as Siya walks down the street. He follows her to a nearby coffee shop, observing her graceful, unguarded demeanor. He’s about to approach her when he gets a text from Noah.
Noah: "Where are you, man? We’re all waiting."
Reluctantly, Alex leaves, his thoughts filled with Siya’s gentle smile and passion.

Private Club, Late Night.
Alexander meets up with Noah and a few friends at one of his favorite clubs. Surrounded by drinks and beautiful women, he forces himself to slip back into his playboy persona, yet he feels out of place.
Noah: (grinning, noticing Alex’s distraction) "Alright, what’s up with you, Van Derlyn? You’ve been spaced out all week."
Alexander: (smirking) "What are you talking about? I’m right here."
But Noah knows him too well. He’s seen Alex play the field with countless women, enjoying his freedom without a hint of real attachment.
Noah: "This isn’t you, man. Usually, you’re the life of the party. What’s on your mind?"
Alex brushes off the question, but inside, he’s grappling with an unshakeable feeling—a strange mix of fascination and protectiveness for Siya. He watches the glamorous women around him, but none of them hold his attention like she does.
Finally, he excuses himself from the party, unable to shake thoughts of her. As he leaves, his friends exchange knowing glances, suspecting something—or someone—is on his mind.

Institute, Siya’s Violin Class, the Next Morning.
The next day, Alexander makes his move to officially enroll in Siya’s class. As he fills out the forms, he’s careful to use a pseudonym, “Alex Vanden,” concealing his true identity. He grins at the irony, feeling a thrill at the double life he’s constructing.
