Part - 15

At the Band Practice

Siya arrives at her band practice for band's next show, where she’s warmly greeted by Ethan, the band’s lead singer. He’s charming, talented, and recently started showing particular interest in her!!

As the band starts their rehearsal, Ethan casually leans against the wall, watching Siya taking out her violin with a soft smile.

Ethan: (flirtatiously) "You know, Siya, it’s not just your music that’s mesmerizing. You have this presence that… I can’t quite put into words."

Siya blushes, giving a shy laugh, a bit flustered by his attention.

Siya: "Oh, thank you, Ethan… That’s really sweet of you."

Unknown to her, Alex has shown up at the rehearsal hall, planning to surprise her. But as he approaches, he sees Ethan’s gaze linger on her, and the easy way he makes her laugh. His jaw clenches as he watches them, feeling a sharp sting of jealousy he can’t ignore.

Alex: (thinking) "Who does he think he is, standing so close to her? And why is she laughing with him like that?"

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Siya is tuning her violin and preparing for the rehearsal. Her focus is entirely on her music until, out of the corner of her eye, she notices a familiar figure by the doorway. She blinks, her heart skipping a beat as she realizes it’s Alex. He’s standing casually, watching her with that charming, confident smile.

Surprised, her face lights up with a warm, unrestrained smile, unable to hide her happiness at seeing him.

Siya: (walking over to him, smiling brightly) "Alex! What are you doing here? I didn’t expect to see you."

Alex: (shrugging with a playful smile) "I was just nearby and thought I’d drop in. I didn’t know I’d get such a warm welcome." (He teases, but inside, he’s thrilled by her reaction.)

Siya laughs, feeling her cheeks heat up. As she’s about to introduce him to the band, the lead singer, Ethan, approaches, holding his guitar with a confident swagger. Ethan’s gaze softens as he looks at Siya, and he gives her a warm smile before turning his attention to Alex.

Siya: (gesturing between them) "Oh! Alex, this is Ethan, our lead singer. Ethan, this is Alex."

Ethan: (extending his hand, friendly yet subtly sizing Alex up) "Nice to meet you, Alex. Siya talks a lot about you."

Alex: (shaking his hand, trying to keep his tone light) "Oh, really?" (He throws a quick look at Siya, his eyes shining with amusement.) "That’s nice to hear."

But inside, Alex feels a pang of jealousy.  The way Ethan stands a little too close, how his gaze lingers on her. The casual, friendly air Ethan has around her makes Alex tense, though he tries to hide it with a calm smile.

As the band prepares to rehearse, Alex takes a seat nearby, his eyes following Siya closely. She’s animated, focused, and lively as she plays, but every now and then, she throws a quick glance his way, and each time, she catches him watching her intently. It sends a small thrill through her that she can’t explain.

During a short break, Siya steps away from her violin and walks over to Alex, who’s still seated, trying to keep his jealousy in check.

Siya: (sipping water, smiling) "How was it? I hope I didn’t make too many mistakes."

Alex: (smirking) "You were incredible, Siya. Though… I didn’t expect to see someone else who seemed just as captivated." (He glances subtly toward Ethan, his voice just teasing enough to make her raise an eyebrow.)
