Siya's Apartment

Alex guided Siya gently back to her apartment, his arm protectively wrapped around her shoulders. She leaned against him, still shaken, her body trembling from the traumatic encounter with Ethan. She was exhausted, physically and emotionally drained, and the tears hadn’t stopped flowing since they left the garden.

Alex is frustrated his jaw is clenched. His heart ached seeing her like this, but he remained silent, knowing she needed space to process everything.

As they reached her apartment, he led her inside and helped her sit down on the couch, his gaze never leaving her face. He grabbed a glass of water and handed it to her, his voice soft and soothing.

Alex: “Drink this, Siya. It’ll help you feel a bit better.”

She took the glass with shaky hands, sipping slowly, her eyes downcast. He could still see traces of fear in her eyes, the horror of what she’d just been through lingering in her expression. Watching her so fragile made his chest tighten with anger and guilt—anger at Ethan and guilt that he hadn’t been there sooner.

Siya: (whispering, wiping her tears) I… I don’t know what I was thinking. I just… didn’t want him to share my pics with anyone else.

Alex is furious listening to her reasons,

Alex: (angry, almost shouting) Thinking?! Sia, what were you even thinking going there alone, at that hour?

Siya: (looks down, feeling guilty) I… I thought I could handle it. I didn’t want to drag anyone else into it…

Alex: (takes a sharp breath, his voice rising in frustration) Drag anyone else into it? Siya, do you have any idea how terrified I was when I saw you with him in that situation? Do you know how it felt to see you there?!

Siya: (silent, glancing at him with wide eyes, seeing the worry in his face) Alex....

Alex: (runs a hand through his hair, exasperated) You scared me half to death, Siya! I can’t… I can’t stand the thought of something happening to you. Seeing you there, so vulnerable… (pauses, his voice shaking slightly) I realized… I can’t live without you, Siya. I don’t want to lose you… ever.

Siya looks up, her breath catching at his words. Alex’s face is full of intensity, his usually composed expression giving way to a vulnerability she’s never seen before. She takes a step toward him, her heart racing.

Siya: (whispering, almost in disbelief) Alex…

Alex: (takes her hand, his voice softening but his eyes still blazing with emotion) "Siya, I can’t hide it anymore. I can’t pretend. I… I’ve been in love with you from the moment I met you. Seeing you there tonight… it just made me realize how much you mean to me."

Siya’s eyes fill with fresh tears, but this time, they’re not from fear or sadness. She stares at Alex, her heart pounding as his words sink in. Without another word, she steps forward, wrapping her arms around him, pulling him close.

Siya: (softly, leaning into his chest) "Alex… you have no idea how much I needed to hear that. I… I’ve been feeling the same, but I was so scared… so unsure."

Alex’s arms close around her, holding her tightly. They stand there in silence, the weight of unspoken feelings finally lifted. For a moment, the world outside fades away, leaving only the two of them.

Alex: (whispering into her hair)" You have no idea how long I’ve waited to tell you this. I tried to keep it hidden, to just… be your friend. But I can’t, Siya. I can’t just be your friend."
