The sky was dark, as if it was about to rain. My heart rate was rapid. The wind pushed against me as I raced towards him.
I was finally catching up to Sonic.
I looked up at the sky. I liked the rain. It was refreshing.
I was surprised when he suddenly stopped, causing me to jump into his sharp back quills and have them rake into my belly.I gave a small yelp and jumped back. The scratches were deep and hurt bad. I was scared; this never happened before and I was in a panic.
"S-Sonic. I'm-" "listen, Amy" he cut me off and turned around. His eyes were soft but flickered with annoyance. He looked tired from running and from the day."I'm sorry, I don't like you in that way." said Sonic softly and honestly. Tears welled up in my eyes and it took away the attention from the pain in my stomach for a couple minuets. "Happy birthday Ames." with that, the blue hedgehog was gone.
"Wait Sonic!" I yelled as I reached out my hand and tripped on a root.
I could feel heavy drops of rain crash against my skin and soak me.
I fell to the ground and pain stabbed my stomach. I stumbled to my feet and limped around the dark forest.
It was all so scary. I had no idea where I was or how to get home."Sonic!" I yelled again.
"Quit yelling." the sudden smooth voice came from a black hedgehog with ruby red striped quills that leaned against a tree as his bright and mellow red eyes studied the forest in front of him.
I immediately recognized him with a pang of terror and fear."Sh-Shadow" I stuttered and suddenly fell to the ground, grunting with pain. Shadows ears perked and he looked down at the pink hedgehog that held her stomach tightly. I tried standing up and to run but the pain hurt just to walk.
"Your hurt" commented Shadow as he walked up to me.I turned away in hopes he would leave.
"Go away, Shadow" I pleaded glumly as I got up and took a step back.
My legs wobbled and Shadow caught me.
"Let me go" I demanded out of fear that Shadow was still evil.
He didn't say anything, didn't budge.
I squirmed and I felt a stinging as he placed his hand on my cuts."Ow! Shadow that hurts! Stop!" I complained. The ebony hedgehog ignored my protest and instead continued.
"This will only take a moment" he said quietly.
"Somebody help!" I cried out.Tears welled in my eyes and I was soaked in the rain. Sonic, if I die here, I want you to know; I never regretted telling you my feelings.
"Chaos heal" Shadow commanded. There was a flash and a light pain on the scratches.I yelped and flooded with surprise. As the light faded, Shadow removed his hand from my stomach. I looked down at it.
They were now just mere blood stains on my clothes. I looked up at him.
"How did you- wait..." I couldn't quite piece it together.narrator POV
"But- don't you need all the chaos emeralds to heal?" She asked, shocked.
"I'm the ultimate life form" he said smoothly. He turned to her.
"And your name is?" She was surprised he didn't know her name.
"Amy Rose" she introduced, uncertainly.Shadow looked thoughtfully.
"The pink girl that chases the blue faker?" He asked. Amy looked away.
"I was the pink girl that chased the blue faker." Amy's eyes welled up with tears again.
"Until her broke my heart" she cried, closing her eyes tightly. The rain still pored down on her, making her cold and feeling alone. She felt a warm hand place on her shoulder. For a second she thought it was Sonic, but quickly realized it was Shadows one attempt of comfort.
She turned around and threw her arms around him, taking him aback.
"Thank you, Shadow" she said and withdrew from his arms.
She looked down at her clothes which was stained with ruby red blood. This was her favourite dress!
"What happened?" Asked Shadow suddenly. Amy tiredly looked up at him. He never saw the pink girl look so defeated before.
"I was chasing Sonic, and when he suddenly stopped, I slammed into his quills." Shadows expression stayed rock hard."Of course. The faker hurt you" he said in a low voice. I looked away.
"Goodbye, Shadow" she said as she turned to walk away, her arms folded in attempt to keep herself warm.
"Goodbye, Rose. Oh! And by the way..." Amy turned to see him walk over, holding a rose. He carefully gave it to her."Happy Birthday, Amy" he said, and with that, turn and walked off.
She stood there in silence and blankly stared at the bush he had just went through.
"Hey! Wait! How did you know it was my birthday?" She called and started running. She burst through the bush, and to her amazement, she only saw a cliff. He couldn't have possibly gotten anywhere, there was no way."Oh... right... his chaos emerald" she sighed aloud.
She looked up into the sky in front of her and saw an amazing soft red and pink sunset. The rain had died out and she was greeted by the warm Summer wind. She smiled and looked down at the rose in her hands.
"Thank you Shadow" she whispered as she felt the petals carefully.⚎⚎⚎⚎⚎⚎⚎⚎⚎⚎⚎⚎⚎⚎⚎⚎⚎⚎
