Chapter 5 ~He matters~

"I had baked you something... but I dropped it" I said as Shadow walked me to my house. He nodded. After that chase, I was death scared to go back into that forest or walk out of it alone.
I looked down at my new blue dress.
It had a streak of dirt on it, but no tears. It really was a good adventure dress.

I walked up my path to the house. It was nice, like usual.
"Would you like to come in?" I asked as I opened the door. He hesitated, but them to my luck, nodded.
I walked into the entry and to my surprise, found Sonic, sitting on the couch. He got up as he saw me and walked over.
"Amy! What the heck was that!" Said Sonic as he walked over to me.
"Sonic- I." Suddenly his eyes widened.
"Amy- Amy get over here" said Sonic suddenly as his eyes landed behind me. I felt a hand on my shoulder and Sonic's eyes narrowed and harden.
"Shadow!" He hissed.
"Hello, Faker" said Shadow. Shadow was so mellow and Sonic was tense. It was like they switched personalities in a matter of seconds.
"Amy, get over here" repeated Sonic.
"Sonic- he's my friend" I said as I placed my hand on Shadows.
Sonic seemed taken aback.
"Amy, he worked with Eggman. He's the bad guy" said Sonic.
"And what about Rouge? You welcomed her the moment she came!" I burst out.
"He's different, Amy. He's not a hero" he said. I hugged onto Shadow and closed my eyes tightly.
"Well he's my hero! And I care about him" I shouted out.
I opened my eyes and saw Sonic looking down at his feet.
"Well, Faker. Get out" said Shadow.
Sonic looked up.
"I respect you Amy, but I have to be skeptical with your choice." With that, Sonic bumped passed Shadow and out the door. My eyes filled with tears and the air was heavy with silence as I stood there with my door wide open.
"What's wrong?" Asked Shadow.
"It's hard, to do that to someone that you cared for" I said, wiping my tears.
"I say you did the right thing" commented Shadow.
"I meant what I said, Shadow" I said.
"Hmm?" He questioned.
I looked up at him.
"I do care about you." I looked down and sighed. This was one of the most serious moments in my life, mostly because I had just dismissed the hedgehog that I had spent most of my life chasing. I felt like I was going to just break down on the floor.
"Shadow... I just need to..." I was so tired I could barely manage a word.
"Yes, I get it. Good bye, miss Rose" said Shadow as he turned.
"Oh, and Amy?" He asked.
"Yes?"
"Next time, I'll be on tenth avenue, not the forest. With that, he walked out the door. I closed the door and took in a deep breathe.

My phone suddenly beeped and I picked it up.
"Hello?" I asked.
"AMY! What's this I hear about you kicking Sonic out!?" Asked a sudden bats voice. I rolled my eyes. Rouge knew everything in a matter of seconds.
"We had a fight" I sighed as I sat on my couch. Sometimes I thought that she was watching me.
"What?!" Burst Rouge. "But you guys are the power couple! You like Sonic."
"I did like Sonic. We're still friends, Rouge" I said to the worried bat.
"But what happened!?" Asked Rouge.
"I have to go, bye" I said.
"Ok, Hun. As long as your fine."

I couldn't help regretting what I said to Sonic. How could I do something like that? I poured myself some tea and sat on the couch, carefully sipping.
I perked up and realized something.
Could I make Sonic jealous?
I suppose it wouldn't hurt for all that he's done to me. A little revenge.
I got up and ran out the door, making my way to tenth avenue.
"Shadow!?" I shouted out.
The black hedgehog stepped out of a tall brick building with a puzzled look.
I ran over and up the stairs.
"Lets go on a date!" I said holding his hands.

GASP! SHADOW AND AMY ON A DATE? BLAZEY! THATS CRAZY!
I know my fabulous readers, and I dared to do the insane thing of them all. A DATE! (◎ー◎)

I really had no idea what to do this chapter so I thought I would add Sonic again! And Rouge!
I will try to update swiftly but school is my main priority.    o(>< )o
