(STILL AMY'S NEVER ENDING POV)
(Maybe I should Narrate more...)

I took in a deep breathe. I turned my hand and slowly opened the door, lifting my chin up and pretending I wasn't just deciding to ditch out on the date.
He stood there, the moon washing him in a silvery type of colour. His ruby mellow eyes glowed in the dark and looked up at me and then scanned what I chose to wear to our second attempt at a date. His eyes softened and I felt a sense of comfort and felt loved.
"Shall we?" He asked as he gestured with his hand to the sidewalk.
I hesitated. Began listing the other options in my mind. I could just walk back in the house, leave him feeling like a fool. I realized that he really was asking me if i was sure that I wanted to go on another date. I smiled happily and nodded.
We walked down the three quick steps and onto the sidewalk.
"You look lovely" he said, almost as quiet as the wind.
"Thank you" I said, blushing.
It was the first time anyone had told me I looked lovely. He was very handsome at night, I had noticed that many times before.
The way the moon shinned off him. The way the breeze blew through his quills and rustled the trees around him as he walked. His red eyes seemed to glow in the darkness.

I looked down at my feet as we walked. I had made the decision to wear casual black flip flops. I had decided that I wouldn't be running for my life anyway, and if I needed to, I would still be as fast as I needed to be.

I was a little confused to why this date was at night. It made me a little uneasy. Anything bad could happen at night. I was so deep into thought that I didn't know how serious and timid I was looking. I felt my hand carefully being taken. I looked up at Shadow to see that he was already staring back.
"Something the matter?" He asked, his voice smoother than the last date.
"Your usually happy."

"No, everything's fine" I reassured as I gave one of my trademark smiles.
He looked a head and led me to a small clearing surrounded by trees.
In the middle of it laid a blanket.

"It's going to be a clear night, tonight" he said. He looked down at me.
"I thought it would be good if we gazed at the stars."
I felt butterflies in my stomach.

Sonic and I did something similar once. I was awake and he was coming back from fighting. He was so handsome that day.

I woke myself from my thoughts.
This night was about me and Shadow and it was going to determine if we should keep dating.

We walked over to the blanket and laid down, gazing up at the stars and pointing out constellations. Or rather; we gazed up at the stars while I pointed out constellations. Shadow was quiet. He didn't seem bothered but didn't seem happy.
He showed only the slight expression of being content.

I watched as his eyes wondered the dark sky and observed the shining stars that stood out against their dark background. I held his hand and smiled. We were like those stars.
He was dark and didn't have much happiness. But I was like his exact opposite. Which made us stand out so much. We were so different yet we had both lost someone we had loved.

"It is a clear night" I whispered after telling him the last constellation I saw.
Shadow gave a tiny smile but it quickly faded. I never really seen Shadow smile before. Sometimes I would see him smirk, but that was it.

Even that tiny smile could make my day. The night was cold but he seemed unmoved by the temperature. I was, however. I didn't even bring a jacket. I cuddled up to Shadow, his fur was warmer than I thought. He put his other arm over me and it became a warm embrace.
By the way this date was going, I could tell there was going to be another one.

The date had come to the end, it lasted till midnight-ish. Shadow walked me home and we stood at my door.
"I had a great time, thank you for walking me home" I said happily.
"Good, no problem" he said and looked back up at the sky, as if recalling the lovely date.
"Have a goodnight, miss Rose" he said as he turned away to go.
"Goodbye" I called. I turned away and put my hand on the doorknob.
I had to do one last thing.

"Shadow!" I called as I ran down the stairs. He turned just in time to see what was next.
I pulled him close and our lips collided in a sweet short kiss. I pulled away to see his shocked expression.
"Goodnight" I said, then walked up the stairs and into my house.

I closed the door behind me and sighed. I looked out the window and saw him turn the corner. The date had been wonderful. But I suddenly caught a glimpse of something across the street. Ice blue eyes staring right back at me through the window, giving me a death glare. My body froze as I saw the outline of the white bat come out of the bushes.

Oh dear god.

I was about to be lectured as if I was a stupid child with matches.

A/N:

YEESSS!! Another chapter done! I'm so sorry if the chapter was kind of corny. But I didn't know any other entertaining way to do this.

A BAT IS AMONG THAT SHADOWS!!! Who could it be? Has Eggman turned himself into a bat? (No)
Is Espio a secret shape shifter?
(Still, no)

I hope you like this chapter!
