Newt and Ada were chatting together as they walked in sync through the Glade. Ada would watch every now and again when Newt waved and greeted a few boys. She guessed being second-in-command Newt knew every boy in the Glade, and there was about sixty of them.

Ada was looking down at her feet, feeling the harsh sun rays on the top of her head when she felt Newt nudge her in her side to gain her attention. He gestured to two people standing a few feet away when she looked over at him.

She followed his gaze to where she saw Alby stood with the new greenie, amidst a conversation, probably showing the greenie around and giving him the run-down of the place. (The parts that wouldn't spook the boy, not yet.)

"Hey, you all right, Alby?" Newt announced his and Ada's presence as the two approached the pair. Alby's face immediately lifted into a grin at the sight of his two favorite people who were always together.

"Green Bean, meet Newt and Ada." Alby introduced the two.

"Hi." Newt greeted the confused boy whose eyes were squinted to fight the sunlight rays as he shook Newt's extended hand. Ada simply nodded at the boy out of respect when the greenie glanced over at her with furrowed eyebrows and a lost expression.

"When I'm not around, Newt's in charge." Alby continued.

"Well, it's a good thing you're always around, then." Newt responded, cracking a smile. Ada slightly nudged him in his side to not talk negatively about himself like that, he was pretty spectacular but the blonde boy always failed to see it. Ada would remind the insecure boy of how amazing he was often. And it did help us self-confidence most of the time. All it took was one smile and light joke form her to bring a matching smile into his own face.

The greenie's eyes were still on Ada whose own irises flickered between Newt and Alby, watching the exchange.

"You're a girl." The greenie stated, confusion laced in his tone but Ada could detect curiosity was his main personality trait. Ada's shoulders stiffened as she nodded slowly, eyeing him cautiously to see if he would end up hitting on her or being sexist.

She settled for a frown on her lips to not come off too cold and rejected, pulling her lips into a straight flat line, "Yeah, nice observation, greenie."
