As you drove through the dense forest surrounding Turitopolis, you rolled down the window, letting the warm, humid air wash over your face. The scent of blooming flowers mixed with the distant calls of exotic wildlife filled the cabin of your vehicle. The sun was beginning to set, casting long shadows through the trees and painting the leaves in fiery orange hues.
You turned on the radio, letting a catchy melody drift through the air. The upbeat rhythm helped ease the tension in your shoulders after the intense battles you've recently faced. The road ahead was mostly clear, though the occasional tree branch jutted into the path — a subtle reminder of the danger still lurking within the shadows of the forest.
You couldn't help but reflect on everything you'd fought: the poison dart men, the guardians of the forest. Sometimes, it still felt unreal that you'd survived it all. But the scars on your body were proof enough — it happened.
You could recognize almost every part of this area by now. The town itself wasn't very big, and you were still surprised it even had a hospital. Then again, every place needs some kind of medical facility — someone has to look after the people, right?
As you continued along the winding dirt road, the trees cast even longer shadows. You couldn't help but wonder... did Brad deserve this? After all, it was Venomshank's influence that had turned him into the Griefer — a name that once struck fear into the hearts of so many players.
The steady hum of the engine served as a quiet lullaby, interrupted only by the occasional birdsong or the rustle of leaves in the breeze. It was nice to have a little peace for once — a stark contrast to the chaos and fighting you'd grown used to.
The engine rumbled steadily beneath you as you drove deeper into the forest. The towering trees loomed overhead, and every now and then, an animal darted across the road. It was the fastest route to the hospital, and you wanted to get there quickly — if nothing else, to help calm the mayor's nerves.
The forest was alive with activity: fruit had fallen to the ground, attracting ants and animals alike. You noticed some insects crawling toward the nectar of split-open mangoes. You allowed yourself a moment to just breathe — to take in the scent of the forest, sweet and earthy.
The GPS guided you along narrow paths, swerving around tight bends and jolting over uneven ground. The thick canopy above seemed to swallow the sunlight, leaving you in an eerie, dim glow.
Eventually, your eyes caught a splash of color — bright red against the surrounding green foliage. It was the Red Cross symbol of the hospital. The building was modest in size but well-maintained, clearly cared for.
You pulled into the small lot and parked the jeep, pressing a button on your keys. The vehicle beeped softly as its lights blinked in acknowledgment. You sat there for a moment, collecting your thoughts before stepping inside.
The sharp smell of antiseptic hit you the second the automatic doors slid open — a sobering reminder of how serious this all was. The receptionist looked up from her computer. The place was busy, especially lately, with so many patients poisoned by darts and spears. Some townspeople couldn't even walk the streets safely without getting attacked.
Thankfully, the townsfolk had discovered that mangoes — one of the area's native fruits — held natural properties that could counteract the poison.
Recognizing you, the receptionist smiled.
"Oh! Player. Just in time. He's been waiting for you. You'll want to walk down about fifteen rooms, then take a right."
You gave her a small nod and headed toward the hallway.
