Chapter two- a unwelcome visitor

You made your way over to the room taking a deep breath you know once you finally see Brad again it's not gonna be a nice visit
When you arrived at the room  Mayor Thanyiel was waiting outside with a look of relief painted on his face. His eyes were bloodshot and his posture was slumped, indicating he had been up all night. He walked over to you with a gentle smile.
"Thank you so much for coming over here. I've been worried sick about Brad. I know we had our differences in the past, but I appreciate your willingness to
help."
You nodded understandingly, extending your hand for a firm shake.
"It's no problem, Mayor. I'm just happy to help. How's he been holding up?"
He simply responded with
"as well as someone who was turned into a plant and then fixed could be. I hope he does get better soon. I'm worried sick for him. I wish I could do more for him.. "
You put a hand on his shoulder, giving him a soft reassuring smile
"I promise you it's gonna be OK whatever happens. I know he'll make it through He's a strong kid..."
The mayor paused for a few seconds before giving a subtle nod
"strongest kid I ever known."
With that, he waves you goodbye as he makes his departure, leaving you alone with your thoughts you look at the room door and take another deep breath this is surely going to be fun
You push the door open with slight hesitation, but he is still asleep. He looked so much more peaceful when he was asleep. There wasn't that much to worry about in the realm of sleeping. Nothing else to worry about everything will be OK once you sleep.

You were thinking that you make your way over to one of the hospital chairs and sit there You took a seat in the chair beside the bed, the plastic cool against your skin. The constant hum of the hospital machinery filled the room, punctuated by the steady beep of Brad's heart rate monitor. It was a comforting sound, a reminder that he was alive, that he was okay. For now, at least. You weren't quite sure what you were expecting, but the sight of him like this was odd,  to see the person that caused so much chaos to you and his dad laying still and resting.
The neon green jacket was gone, replaced by a simple hospital gown. The chains and belts had been removed, leaving his pale skin bare.
It was weird to see him without all his accessories. He usually has so many colors going on that it was hard to see but now there's nothing on him, but that simple gown.

That's when you look over to the heart monitor it's sped up slightly. His eyes began to flutter. It seems he was waking up. We're in for the long run now.
He woke up with a grown as he tried to sit up immediately feeling the pain he laid back down on the pillow his fishing was still a little blurry from sleep, and the amount of pain medicine still pumping through his veins, but he could tell you weren't his dad
"Ugh... Where did my dad go? Who are you and what do you want? "
as soon as you opened your mouth, his eyes wide and he knew we were and he did not want to hear it
"Your da-" you tried to, but you were quickly cut off
Brad now, looking up his eyes solely focusing on you
"I don't wanna hear it. You're here to mock me, aren't you? You do this to me and then you come to my hospital just to mock all the pain I'm in well. I don't wanna hear it right now now you won are you happy?"
You just sat there for a few seconds it made you feel worse. That's not why you were there but thinking that's the reason you were there made it all the worse.
"no that's not why I'm here at all. Your dad told me to watch over you while he was at work.
Rolled his eyes and attempted to cross his arms in the process, but he didn't want to look in front of you
"I don't need a babysitter. I don't need you here so why don't you just leave me alone!"
You took a deep breath he's not going to listen to you right now. Maybe he just needs some time to himself. You're sure he'll adjust eventually. ... you hope.
