driving your jeep back to your apartment you sat in the car for a few minutes before you even turned it on you rub the bridge of your nose thought to yourself.
"was this really worth it? having to deal with Brad. For God knows how long you did make a promise so to the mayor and he did seem really grateful for me coming over and helping him. God, why does he have to be such an innocent old man, if he wasn't so damn sweet, I wouldn't have considered this from the start. "
Try and clear your mind you flip on the radio to the closest music station and will begin to drive driving through the forest. You decide to take the scenic route home.
The engine of the jeep hummed a steady rhythm as it ate up the miles of dirt road, leaving a trail of dust in its wake. The trees, tall and stoic, stood sentinels on either side, their branches interlocking in a dance of shadows that played upon the windshield. The setting sun painted the sky with strokes of orange and pink, the light filtering through the leaves to cast a warm glow on the forest floor.
eventually you see your hotel come to view as you stop the car bringing it to a slow you park in the spot and unlock the Jeep before locking it again with a click of your keys. you flip the keys on your key ring as you walk over to your room unlocking the door.. you bed look so comfy but you decide you should take a shower first after all that battling you're definitely not the cleanest.
so you make your way over to the bathroom, dropping your clothing and stepping in the warm water loosening in tense muscles and also washing over any cuts making you unfortunately aware of their stinging. you, you wash yourself and then your hair and then you step out drying yourself out of towel you put on some clean clothing. The bed was just laying on the bed. You could just smell how clean it was.
this was perfect just the feeling of clean sheets and the clean feeling of your body and nice clothes. It was just perfect.
laying in your bed, you pull over the nice warm covers and close your eyes after a long day you deserve this rest. Who knows maybe the next few days will be more manageable.
