While my brother and I were on our way to Hannam-dong (Yongsan District), he suddenly spoke.

"So, I heard you—" before he could finish what he was going to say, I cut him off immediately.

"Shut up, hyung. You're going to tease me," I said, almost in tears.

"Silly, I'm not going to tease you," he replied.

"Why did you even think of confessing to him through a letter, right in front of our school gate! You could have talked to him privately."

Don't tell me you actually listened to your friends advice. I told you, that squirrel guy, he's no good for you. He's kind of stupid for me.

"I know it's my fault, okay! Stop nagging me. Don't talk about Jisung like that. Zip your mouth hyung, I'm thinking  how to avoid your stupid friend right now.

He suddenly smirked, as if he thought of something funny.

"Avoid him, huh? Good luck with that," he murmured.

"What?"

"Nothing," he replied.

"How's school, my two gorgeous sons?" mom said, opening her arms to hug us both.

"It's fine, mom. I'm not sure about Felix. He did something embarrassing," my brother answered.

"Hyung!" I shouted at him.

"Kidding," he chuckled.

"Both of you, stop fighting!" mom spoke.

"Felix, Minho, go to your bedroom. Come downstairs after you wash up. We'll have dinner together," mom said.

"Okay, mom," we both said in chorus.

We hurried upstairs to change. After I took a half bath, I decided to wear my pajamas since I would also be sleeping after answering my homework.

"What's for dinner tonight, mom?" I happily asked.

"Ribeye steak, son. Come here, son, sit. Where's your brother?"

"Coming," my brother suddenly said as he came down the stairs.

We were in the middle of dinner when my brother spoke.

"I almost forgot mom, to remind you about our project that will probably take about a month to complete. And to finish it quickly, I decided—if it's okay with you, mom—that he can stay with us for one month," my brother said.

"Major project, brother?" I asked.

"Yup," he replied.

"Oh, I remember now. Is this the one you told me about last month?" Mom said.

"Yes, mom. It's a hassle if he goes home every day, even though our subdivisions are just close to each other. He's almost always at home with just a housekeeper, as his parents are often abroad for businesses. So, I think we could focus better on our major project if we were in the same house.

"It's fine with me, son. Cheongdam-dong (Gangnam District), right? Tell chan, we'll take care of everything. Foods etc" mom spoke while cutting her steak.

"Cheongdam-dong (Gangnam District)? I mentally asked myself cuz it sounds familiar to me."

"Yes, mom. But Chan isn't my partner," my brother said.

"Then who is it? Chang—" before mom could finish her sentence, my brother cut her off.

"It's HYUNJIN, mom."

I almost choked on my food at my brother's words; he really emphasized Hyunjin's name. I quickly grabbed my napkin to wipe the water that had come out of my mouth. What the fuck, what the fuck!? I cursed silently

"What did you say, hyung?!?" I whispered-shouted.

"Hyunjin's going to live with us for one month," he said casually.

"Is there a problem, son?" Mom asked.

"No, nothing, mom," I sighed frustratingly.

"Hyung, but here in our house!?" I asked him again.

"Why not?" Mom asked.

Because—I didn't know what to say next. I immediately turned to my brother and said,

Hyung! You can stay at their house instead. You'll be able to focus better since it'll just be the two of you, I said.

"Nope," hyung replied.

"What?!" I said, dismayed.

We've already decided, and Hyunjin agreed. He'll sleep in the guest room, next to yours. He smirked wickedly.

Oh my fucking god, is this my karma?!?

Time check: 3:01 AM

I decided to get some fresh air on the terrace because I couldn't sleep after everything I learned earlier. I put on my hoodie before stepping outside onto the terrace. I almost shivered from the cold as I opened the door. Suddenly, the biting wind hit my skin; I took a deep breath and felt the freezing air. My hair was swept by the wind, and I just noticed that it had grown a bit longer. I've been wanting to try blonde hair for a while now, but I'm still hesitant since I'm used to my black hair.

While I was lost in thought, I suddenly remembered the foolishness I did this morning. I sarcastically laughed at myself because I didn't really expect him to reciprocate what I was feeling. Yes, we were in the same situation in life. The only difference is that he couldn't look at me as anything more than just a younger sibling of Lee Minho. Many people tell me I'm lucky because I have an older brother whose friends are mostly chaebols (wealthy and influential individuals), making it easy to befriend them. How I wish I could be treated as just a friend by Hwang Hyunjin. But even with the smallest glance, I'm sure he'll never give that to me. I also don't know why, out of all my brother's friends, it was him I ended up liking. I'm starting to believe what they say—that your heart chooses the person you're going to fall for.

To be honest, I'm afraid of myself. I might be the reason lee know hyung and Hyunjin end up fighting. I immediately shrugged off that thought because I know Hwang Hyunjin would never like someone like me.

Let's just see where this damn fucking one-sided love will take me. Whatever happens, happens. Please, Lord, Buddha, help me survive this year. Lol
