Chapter 14: Clingy

I mentally slapped myself when I remembered we were still inside the Ferris wheel. As soon as the gondola door opened, I stepped out quickly, followed closely by Hyunjin. Just as I got outside, I noticed everyone waiting for us, but someone was missing. I couldn't find Jay.

"Where's Jay?" I asked Lee Know.

"Oh, didn't you get his text?" he replied. "He said there was an emergency at home, so he left early," he added.

I nodded and changed the subject, asking them about the rides we would go on. But Chan suggested that we have lunch since it was already 2:30 in the afternoon. We quickly headed to a nearby mall to find a food court. We decided to eat at a fast food place.

"Lee Know, you brought your car, right?" I asked.

"Yep, Chan, Changbin, and Hyunjin," he said.

"Where will I sit?" I inquired.

Obviously my ca- before Lee Know hyung could finish his sentence, Hyunjin abruptly interrupted and grabbed my hand to lead me to his car.

"Nope, he's riding with me," Hyunjin exclaimed.

"Yaaa! Hwang Hyunjin!" Lee Know hyung shouted.

"What the hell, Hyunjin! My brother's going to kill you after this," I silently protested.

"Let him try," he shrugged casually.

"Get in, baby," he added.

I immediately flushed at the nickname he used.

"Really? You're using a Ferrari just to hang out at the park?" I laughed sarcastically.

"Why not?"

"Do you need help with your seatbelt?" he asked.

"Yes, please," I replied politely.

"There," he said after fastening my seatbelt properly. Just when I thought he'd pull away to start the car, he suddenly kissed me on the cheek.

"Hey! That's too much!" I exclaimed.

He just smirked at me.

"Idiot," I murmured.

Lee Know hyung texted that they had already arrived.

"We're not going with them."

"Oh Come on, Hwang. Good luck at home later. You're dead meat with lee know hyung," I threatened him.

We arrived at the mall, and we both got out to search for a place to eat. While we were inside, he suddenly spoke up.

"Give me your hand; I want to hold it."

"No way," I joked.

He looked at me, feigning offense and holding his chest dramatically.

I couldn't help but laugh. "Dramatic!"

"Hmph," he pouted and turned to walk ahead.

"Hey! I didn't know you were the clingy type!" I teased him.

He stopped walking and turned around to face me.

"Don't you like guys like this?"

Of course no-before I could finish my sentence , he turned away again.

What is up with this guy? So sensitive, goodness!

I rushed after him and tapped his shoulder.

"Hey, sorry!"

"Hey!"

"Baby!"

That made him stop. I couldn't help but smile secretly.

I approached him and intertwined our fingers.

"What did you say?"

"Huh? Nothing."

"You said something earlier; come on, say it!" he insisted.

"You're hearing things" I added

Before he could say another word, I tiptoed to reach his lips. I kissed him, just a quick peck. He froze in place, probably surprised by my action, especially in a public place. I was about to laugh at his reaction when I heard something fall, like a cup. I turned to see what it was and was even more startled to see all our friends in front of us. I think Changbin was standing there with his mouth agape, his milk tea spilling out from his mouth.

Han, Seungmin, and I.N looked at me with eyes that screamed betrayal. Lee Know was also shocked, while Chan only smirked at us.

"Oh-oh," I whispered.
