Chapter 12: Lotte World

Jay contacted me and wanted us to hang out, so I said yes right away. After all, he was the one who invited me first. If it had been Lee Know who invited me, I might have gone with him too. It's been a while since Jay and I have seen each other, so I thought it would be a good idea to try hanging out with him and getting to know some of my acquaintances better.

Jay decided to pick me up at my house. I chose to wear a dark blue denim jacket over a white t-shirt, paired with dark baggy blue pants. I also wore a silver cross necklace and several rings.

I hurried out of my room when I heard a car honking; it might be Jay. I quickly spotted him leaning against his black Lamborghini sedan. I was a bit surprised because we were nearly wearing the same outfit, the only difference being that he was in all black.

"Hi, look, we're almost wearing the same outfit!" I laughed.

He chuckled as he opened the door for me.

"Get in," he added.

While we were driving, we decided to grab breakfast first at Café de Lulu in Hongdae. We got out in front of the café, entered, and looked for a seat.

I ordered an iced latte and waffles with syrup and blackberries, while Jay ordered pasta and iced tea.

"Are you sure that's all you're going to order?" he asked.

"Yup, I'm not used to heavy breakfasts," I explained.

He just nodded and smiled. While we were waiting for our order...

"So, how are you?" he laughed.

"I'm doing well, how about you?" I replied.

"I'm okay too."

"Are you seeing someone or perhaps someone's pursuing you?" he asked.

I immediately shook my head and said awkwardly, "No, not at all," laughing a bit.

"Oh," was all he said.

When our food arrived, we stopped talking because it felt rude to chat while eating.

Fast Forward

Jay actually asked me if it was okay to go to Lotte World. I said yes right away; it had been so long since I last visited. I was really excited to get there. We quickly found a parking spot for his car and got out to line up for tickets.

While a woman was assisting us in getting the tickets, I heard loud laughter behind us that sounded very familiar. I turned around and, sure enough, I saw Lee Know, Changbin, Chan hyung and of course, Hyunjin they are walking toward the ticketing booth and—wait, what the fuck! Han, Seungmin, and I.N too?! Why are they with Lee Know hyung circle of friends?

Lee Know noticed me right away and waved.

"What are you doing here?" he asked.

"Just hanging out," I replied.

"By yourself?" he asked, looking confused.

"I'm with someone," I said.

Jay cleared his throat behind me and greeted him right away.

"Jay, bro." He extended his hand toward Jay for a shake.

"O-oh, a date," commented Lee Know.

I immediately blushed and replied, "Hyung! Friendly date, okay?!? We're just hanging out." I explained at length.

"Okay okay, chill baby bro," he replied, looking bored.

"See you inside, Hyung. We'll head in first. I quickly turned to my friends to give them a look, but they immediately avoided eye contact and pretended to be doing something else. Han is looking at the floor. He look stupid. What was he looking for on the floor?!

I nodded to Chan and Changbin to signal that I was heading inside, and I accidentally caught Hyunjin's eye. I couldn't read his expression, so I quickly looked away. Jay put a hand on my shoulder and said, "Let's go."

For god sake, of all the theme parks in south korea, why did they pick Lotte World?

Lee Know hyung asked Jay if he was okay with us all going together since more people would be more fun. I thought Jay would decline, but he said yes immediately. I mentally slapped my forehead. I was trying to avoid hyunjin, and now this? It seemed like I wasn't favored by fate today.

Han, Seungmin, and I.N quickly dragged me along.

"Don't worry, your date won't be awkward; Chan is right there," I.N said.

I turned to see them talking to Jay, and I sighed in relief.

"Is he pursuing you?" Seungmin asked.

"No, we're just friends," I replied quickly.

"Oh, you're just waiting for him to ask you out," Han teased, grinning.

I shot him a death glare—I'm going to beat this bitch up!
