Chapter eleven: Books

I gently touched the book covers as I skimmed through the titles. I was at the Williams library which is bigger than any of the public libraries I have ever gone to. It is a bookworms haven. I stopped at "Wuthering Heights" and took it out to add to my ever growing book pile. I squealed in delight at the thought of burrowing my head into the fantasy of books.

Suddenly, I saw something that caught my eye and I took the book out. "The history of the werewolves" it said. I has forgotten that I am living in a werewolf house. Crap. "Take it, we need to learn more about them."

I jumped in fright before realising that it was only Lea. "Lea you frightened me!"

"What's there to be frightened about?" She retorted. I huffed, "Well, everything because the fact that I am living in a werewolf house frightens me!"

"Point taken."

I sighed. "Sorry Lea I have been so snappy lately. Thinking about werewolves got me so stressed lately."

"Whats there to be stressed about? Look, the only thing you need to do is hide the fact that you are a werecat, simple as that!"

"If only you are in my shoes." I huffed, but she was right. Why am I getting so worked up for? As long as they don't find out, I should be fine! She laughed, "Oh, but I am in your shoes!"

I smiled and continued to look for books. There are so many books about werewolves like "Facts about werewolves" before I started to see something else. "The history of the werecats" My blood ran cold as I traced the words. I placed the book down in my book pile before looking for more.

"Facts about werecats" Huh, I could use this. Maybe there is some info inside that I could use. "Ok Cat, its time to read the damn books!"

"Ok ok chill Lea." I carried the mountain of books using my werecat strength towards a corner before making a book fort. Once I settled down, I took "The history of the werewolves" and started to read it.

"Legends surrounding werewolves are many, but little are true. The first ever werewolf was Liam Macwolf, a knight. He escaped the burning castle with his princess at hand, protecting her from everything harmful. This had touched the heart of the overseeing moon goddess and she granted him the power of a thousand men, in exchange that he have to change into a beast at full moon. He could also change into a wolf at will. Some have say that this is a curse, many, a blessing.

One of the oldest and powerful packs of werewolves are said to be descended from royalty, which is the Wolftree pack."

I furrowed my eyebrows. This name seems so familiar. Where did I hear it from? I flipped back to the content page before finding what I wanted, "The great battle against werecats" I need to find out what happened, 8 years ago.

"The great battle against the werecats was started when a seer came to one of the werewolf packs, Barklark, muttering a prophecy. "The dark have come, doom will fall, the cats shall rise, forever more." This is clear that the werecats were planing an attack to overthrow the mystical creatures. They were far powerful, full of unknown powers.

The mysticals teamed together to rid of the werecats evil plans. They started to hunt down werecats, but many lives were lost against werecats. Some were staying in unknown places. The hardest to defeat was the Zariah family, also descended from royalty, a greatest battle started between Wolftree and Zariah. Finally exhausted from the battle, they lost and before executing them they admitted to planning to gain power to rule the creatures. Their 8 year old daughter, Catherine, was never found. Its believed that she died while trying to escape."

What. The. Bloody. Hell.

Fun fact: Im a Singaporean! Singapore is a super small island... Umm, surprise? Lol I have no ideas to write for fun facts anymore. Maybe I should stop writing them unless I have more interesting stuff to share :/
