The Last Of Them

Chapter four: New Neighbour

I stared at the giant gate of the Williams and taking a deep breath in, I started to climb it. When I climbed down on the other side, I tool a big leap towards a soft looking patch of grass. I swear I heard a crack from my ankle and I winced. After waiting for a minute, it recovered.

I headed towards the field or what the Williams call it a garden. Its definitely as big as ten Olympics swimming pools. The garden was definitely more comfortable than my own house, though almost the same.

"Stop thinking so much and let me out already!" Aden, my wolf snapped. That's right, I'm a werewolf. I'm not just any werewolf, I'm also an alpha of my pack. My best friend, Dylan, is my beta and I'm giving him a surprise visit. But first, I need a run.

I shifted into a midnight black wolf with amber eyes and started to run. I felt like I was flying as wind ran against me and I pushed my worries to the corner of my mind. I laid down panting and after resting for a good while, I shifted back.

I turned towards the house only to see a pretty girl who is standing about twenty feet away. She was wearing a white dress and she had curly light brown hair which cascaded down to her waist. Her hat covered part of her face but she still seemed so pretty... And her plump light pink lips parted slightly. Her lips...

I shook my head as I scolded myself. I only just met her! How can you think of kissing her! Plus she could be a thief or something, I mean what is she doing at Dylan's house! Stop thinking!

"Wait, did she see us shift?!" Aden growled. Oh crap! She must be so shocked... Maybe I should explain to her... Suddenly a gust of wind picked up and I saw a flash of colours mixed together before she clutched her hat, covering her eyes once more. Her eyes...

"MATE!!!" Aden suddenly barked, interrupting my thoughts. Wait what? I'm now really confused. Who is she?

"Who are you?" I asked. She didn't reply. I hated when people do not reply me. I started to walk towards her.

"Show me your eyes!" I demanded and she took a few steps back, obviously frightened. I grabbed her hat and looked at her eyes. Her eyes was just pale blue and I felt no emotions in her eyes even though it is wide in surprise and fear.

She snatched back her hat and placed it firmly onto her head and ran away. I stared at her retreating back before disappearing into the house. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. Aden was confused too. "Who is she?"

I shrugged my shoulders and walked into the house, the mysterious girl occupying my mind.

She smelled like cookies and honey...

"Why is there a random girl at your house?!?" I stormed into Dylan's room. He turned around from his computer and rolled his eyes. "Hello to you too."

"Well?" I tapped my feet. Dylan replied, " I can't believe you met her already. How did you meet her?"

"She may or may not seen me shift... Wait, answer my question!" I narrowed my eyes. Dylan loves to beat around the bush. "Seriously? How could you be so careless! Tell me everything, ASAP!"

I told Dylan everything excluding the part when Aden growled mate. Dylan let out a low whistle. "Dayumn... But I don't think she's a werewolf... But she seemed to be something else... Not a fairy, not a angel, not a witch... But just saying only, I'm not too sure but she sure is pretty!"

"DYLAN! Are you gonna tell me who is she or not?!?" I growled, using my alpha voice. Dylan widen his eyes. Never have I ever used my alpha voice with him, I was even shocked myself. Man that girl is driving me nuts and my patience is definitely running out. Dylan summited to me by bowing his head. "She's your new neighbour, and she's my..."

The door opened and a familiar face popped in. "Hey Dylan..." A voice that sounded like soft tinkling bells chimed in my ears and a smell of cookies and honey walfted in.

Dylan smirked, "Well, speak of the devil..."

Authors noteeesss: Yay! Done with another chapter! I really love leaving cliffhangers but hate them when other do that :P Imma go curl up in my bed and sleep *Hugs bed*

Fun fact: I wanted Bryan to be Catherine's adopted brother but I was like meh imma gonna change it to be another main character cos why not :D
