Catherine

I ran. And ran. And ran.

My head was pounding as tears slipped out of my eyes. Black eyes... The only eyes of a angry werewolf. If there is a werewolf, there bound to be a pack. A pack... Only meant trouble for a cat like me. I finally stopped at a lake and yelled my frustration.

Why? Why didn't I use my nose? Why didn't I smell werewolf? Why was I so stupid? I wanted to be happy... Is that too much to ask for?

I knew that Mrs Williams was different... But I did not expect her and her family to be werewolves! But she should have realised that I'm different too... Does she know that I am a werecat??

No wait, she wouldn't have adopted me if she knew that I was a werecat. In fact she would have killed me on the spot! Or maybe she adopted me so that she can kill me in secret and not leave a bloody mess and witnesses at the orphanage!

But, if that was true she wouldn't have brought me shopping because I doubt any werewolf would spend a single cent on a werecat! She would also have killed me as soon as I stepped into their house! So why?

I wanted to yell again when Lea started to take over me. I let her and she pushed me behind to calm down and she shifted. She jumped around in happiness and I gave a small smile at her playfulness. I watched her run around before slowly drifting off to sleep.

I woke up in human form as someone started to shake me and the scent of peaches and lavender wafted into my nose. Yawning, I rubbed my eyes and tried to focus on the person in front of me. "Hey Catherine..."

My eyes widen as I saw Dylan's friend in front of me. I jumped up and looked around. We were at a field facing the lake. The sun was setting and the lake was sparkling red, like its was filled with blood.

It looked like a cliche view that happens in the movies, except in real life. It was really mesmerising, even when I am so used to seeing it in the movies. Beauty is really in the eyes of the beholder.

"Its nice isn't it?" I jumped as he stood beside me. I almost forgotten that he was still here. I asked, "What are you doing here?"

"Well, I came to my usual hideout, only to find a girl sleeping here." He replied as I looked down and I muttered, "Sorry."

"No no its alright! After what happened back in school, I think I would run too if I was in your situation." Right. I totally forgotten about that "incident".

He furrowed his eyebrows and stared at me. "So what are you?"
