I woke up, light beams shooting into my eyes. I could hear someone calling my name. I groaned and snuggled back into the covers of my soft bed. Wait... the orphanage bed is not this soft...

I jumped out of bed and I got into a fighting stance, thinking that someone had kidnapped me. I remembered that I was adopted by Mrs Williams when I heard a obnoxious laughing. I glared at the source. It was Dylan.

"That pose... Hahaahaa!" As the latter wiped off tears from his eyes, I went over and smacked him. Hard. His laughter became groans as a red mark soon appeared at his arm. I smirked. Well he deserved that.

"Ow! Gurl you gotta chill... Anyway I just came to tell you to go down for breakfast!" I nodded and he left, in search for an ice pack. I quickly changed into a white dress that was lying in the wardrobe and went down when I realised I was lost.

That jerk! He did not tell me where the living room was! In front of me was twenty over rooms. I was thinking of literally going into every single room looking for the damn living room when a voice stopped me. "Are you lost?"

I turned around to see a handsome guy with blonde messy hair in a gardening attire. My god, is everyone in this house blessed with handsome looks? I replied, "Yes..."

"Would you like me to show you the way? You are going to the living room are you not?" I nodded my head, blushing. I was embarrassed because I did not know the way. He noticed and cluckled, "Don't worry! The first time I came to work, I also got lost. I mean, its not hard to get lost in this maze!"

I smiled and we walked while introducing ourselves. His name is Lance Tyler and the Williams hired him to do the gardening. We finally reached the living room and he frowned.

"Okay I guess this is a goodbye! Don't miss me, we will definitely meet soon!" I rolled my eyes as he smirked and winked. That guy is definitely getting ahead of himself. "I will definitely not miss you!"

"Oh we will see!" He just smirked wider. How does he keep smirking and not get tired of it? I just waved and walked into the living room. I sighed in content when I saw a normal family eating at the table. I walked towards the dining table.

"What took you so long?" Dylan smirked. I glared at him. "Well someone didn't show me the way!" I huffed and sat down. Mrs Williams placed a waffle filled plate infront of me and I gobbled it up. "Maybe that someone left a map on your table!"

I just glared at him. I decided to spent the rest of the day exploring the house, first, the giant garden that could be a field since Lea whining to go there first. I grabbed my white hat which was adorned with white flowers and went outside. A gust of wind hit me, almost making my hat fly away if I had not held it tightly.

"Please, I want to run! Let me out!" Lea whined once more and I looked around. Seeing no one, I nodded. I felt my bones shifting and winced. Afterall it had been ages since I shifted. Lea excitedly said, "Now with this big garden, we can shift whenever we want!"

I shifted into a small white cat. I could changed my size whenever I want, which makes it really handy to get out of sticky situations. I leaped to a run, and feeling wind running against my fur, a deep purr rumbled inside me.

Finally tired after a while, I laid down and lazily rolled around. My ears twitched as I heard rustling in the grass and I stiffened. I cautiously sniffed and realised it was a mouse. A mouse... I'm a little hungry right now. I smirked and crouched slowly, when I felt enough energy on my hind paws, I leaped.

"Dang it!" I cursed. The mouse got away. Deciding to practice my hunting skills which obviously got rusty, I closed my eyes thinking of the basic steps of hunting. A familiar, warm but ruff voice rang inside my head. "Crouch lower! And stop twitching your tail, the prey can hear it! Bite the prey before it get away! Always becareful of leaves, be silent as the wind!"

As I held back the urge to cry, I felt something between my paws. I had unknowingly caught a bird and I gobbled it. Feeling statisfied, I shifted back and grabbed my hat, placing it on my head.

I looked up and saw a kinda cute boy staring at me. Time seemed to have stopped for us when finally another gust of wind picked up and I clutched my hat.

"Who are you?"
