Chapter Twenty Four

Nicki POV
One month later
A few days before TG

Sometime last month, I was out with Lauren and we ran into my friend from my old job, Megan, and we all hit it off. So we been meeting up every weekend to do something together. Today we're going to go to this seafood spot, I been craved snow crabs, so Meg suggested, a seafood spot in downtown Houston. Bey came in eating the food I cooked for them.

"What you doing while I'm gone?" I asked turning around in my seat. She was that for up making me hungry.

"I'm taking the kids to my mother's."

"No you not stopping then off."

"No im going to well u should have said we are going to my mothers."her eyes studied me before shooting down on the bed in front of me.

"Baby you look different."

"How do you mean?" I asked scrunching my eye brows, she looked at my face smiling before giving me a shrug.

"Ion know but I like it." She said feeding me a piece of salmon. I swear I should have just ate here but whatever. My phone dinged and it was Lauren telling me she was outside.

"Ok. Baby it's time for me to go." I said getting up grabbing my phone, putting it in my shoulder bag, grabbing my keys. I bent down kissing her lips quickly before pulling back, because she likes to get carried away. She got up following behind as I started my journey downstairs going to the den getting the kids a hug and kiss before i leave. Bey walked me to the door and after another kiss I was out the door walking to Lauren's car, getting in.

"Damn finally trick"

"Girl hush, you act like you was waiting for ever."

"I was, probably was saying bye to that big ass family." I was crying cause why she know. We continued our back and forth arriving at this new place called Willie G's Seafood. We pulled up at the same time as Meg, I hopped out going to greet her.

"Oh my gosh, Nicki you so short."

"Oh my gosh Megan you so big."

"That's what she said." Lauren joined in making us laugh. We all walked into the restaurant, being seated after a while. It smelled good, so good my mouth watered. Sitting down ordering our drinks, Meg eyed me.

"Nicki you look different." Whaaaat??? What's up with everybody today.

"Nic nac I wasn't gone say nothing either but you do look different." Lauren said sitting up in her seat.

"Is it a bad different, like am I fat or something, not saying being fat is bad but that would be a change people could see."

"No babes like,well now that you say sum, you do look a lil chunky in the face." Megan said thanking the waitress as she sat our drinks down taking our orders. The conversation picked right back up after the girl walked off.

"Yea you got this glow, like you changed up skin routines." Lauren said.

"Riiiight I saw the same thing when you got out the car." Megan agreed with her. The food arrived and I was ready to bust the car legs down, but something smelled off. Meg and I had the same thing but I smelled mines. Then I looked to Lauren leaning over to smell and yup it was her. I gagged backing away as she slurped up a noodle.

"Girl why you gagging and shit, all I got was garlic and herb shrimp scampi." She said with a pout.

Nick, here switch seats with me." Meg said I nodded switching seats, at first I was good, finally was able to eat too crab legs before the feeling came back. It seemed like the smell wafted more my way, as she ate. The more Lo consumed her meal the more my mouth watered, I tried to keep it down but I couldn't. I got up rushing to the bathroom, hurling into the trash bin. After throwing up my breakfast and the two crab legs, I leaned against the nearby wall catching my breath. After a while I rinsed my mouth with water, wiping it, with some napkins before washing my hands exiting the restroom. When I got to our table. I saw the waitress giving them food trays to go.
