Chapter Twenty Five

Beys POV
Same day

I finished up my call going back up to my room seeing Sir laying his head on a sleeping Nicki. I glanced at the TV seeing that cartoon CEO baby, whatever it's called. I quietly back up heading back down stairs.

"So another grandbaby huh?" My mom asked passing me my warmed up plate of spaghetti.

"Thanks ma, and I know right. I knew she was pregnant I just ain't know how to approach it but the universe helped in the department." I said chuckling to myself.

"It's crazy how despite us all being different, garlic is a trigger for us all. Curse you and your fathers damn line." My Luther rolled her eyes putting the dishes up.

"Where mommy?" Blue came in the kitchen probably thinking she was in here. Sparking of their mommy lemme call the kids doctor and set Nicki up with an appointment hopefully for tomorrow.

Upstairs talking a nap."

Oh I'm gonna nap with mommy." She left out the kitchen telling Rumi they were going to nap with Nicki.

"Dr.Longs obstetrician and pediatrician center how may I help you."

"Hey Cheri, please tell me you can squeeze me in tomorrow." She paused before I'm assuming checking the caller id.

"Oh Ms.Knowles, hi, umm we have no spots open on her pediatric schedule maybe after thanksgiving." She offered.

"Oh no I need an OB appointment."

"Oh sure we can do tomorrow 10 am, 10:30 and 11"

"We can do 11."I thanked the receptionist before hanging up.

"Alright imma go, I put Nicki's leftovers in the fridge. Carol and I are going out."

"Go out where?"

Being grown, I'm the mother not you." She patted my cheek making me roll my eyes.

"You better make sure you back home and don't bring no strange men home."

"Bey bye." She waved me off leaving out, but I'm dead serious. That's my damn momma man.

I went to my office a did a few things before my lovely girlfriend blessed me with her presence. I sat the iPad downstairs wn, moving back and she walked up to me climbing in my lap.

You ok mama." I asked rubbing circles into her back. She nods into my neck, lazily wrapping her arms around my waist.

I'm so tired." She mumbled.

Why not just go back to sleep?"

Cause you not there." I internally smile at that. Lowkey glad I'm not the only one who can't sleep when she not in bed.

Ok beautiful lemme wrap this up and we can go to bed." I said picking the iPad back up finishing up the dress I was working on. Her soft snores, even, the sound I'm finding comforting., lets me know I'm all she needed not even a bed. By the time I finished it was 9, I closed up everything, carrying Nicki out the office. I walked us up to the room finding the kids knocked out in the bed. I smile, laying Nicki down on her side before climbing in behind her wrapping my arm around her waist, pulling her into me. My hand subconsciously eating on her stomach, finding a peaceful sleep.

The next Day

The sound of Nicki throwing up, woke me up. I got up seeing the kids gone b it I can hear them down the hall yelling. I stretched making my way in the bathroom rubbing her back.
