Their pass through in Allport went smoothly.
Chip had prayed over the ship and crew the days leading up to it and on the day they weren't even pulled from the line for inspection.
On their way out he saw Marie -whom he had written a letter about not stopping by - on the dock, waving them fare well.

And off they were to Noctis.
The last stop before he would meet his mother again.
Entering the sea around it was unsettling like the first time. The water was murky and the shadow of the island loomed in the docks already as they pulled into the port.

Chip gathered the crew and said: "I want to pray over you guys before we leave the ship." "We were fine last time too", Jay said and shouldered her bag, when Chip looked at her. She pressed her lips together. "Please?", he asked and she sighed, dropped her bag and went over. "You're right, the goddesses will protect us", Queen sang, but Chip shook his head. "The one true God, the maker of Heavens and Earth will protect us", he said and bowed his head, folding his hands, "Dear Lord, Father in Heaven, today I hold this crew up to you. The beautiful people you have blessed me with in this past year. Protect us as we enter this dark place, shield us with your faithful love and righteousness and do not let us be lead astray by the evil forces that house here. In Jesus mighty name, Amen."

"Didn't they ban that years ago?", Drey asked and Chip looked at him, raising an eyebrow, "Fair enough" "Let's go", Chip said walking ahead, "And Gill, could we stay on the path today?" "Sure, I don't know why we wouldn't", Gill replied, quickly returning to the middle of the path after drifting off to the side to leave it. "Thank you", Chip chuckled and as they walked he began to talk to Jesus in his head, telling him how he liked the passage from Bible study that morning and how he was nervous for their stay in Noctis and everything else that was on his mind.

Until they arrived at Celeste Crepes.
In his mind Chip prayed for protection relentlessly, prayed without seizing as they got served their meals and drinks.
And then the door was pushed open and in stepped a young woman with blonde hair and big round glasses that made Chip almost choke on his coffee as he remembered her. Rebecca.

Jay noticed, looked over and started laughing. "I see", she commented as he sat up straight, "Go talk to her"
You really should, he felt the words in the back of his mind and suddenly felt filled with courage. "Yeah, you know what, I'll do that", he replied and send a quick prayer to God as he stood up to walk toward her.

She had just put down a basket onto the counter for Reha, when Chip came up.
Her eyes got a little wider as she remembered him and he smiled a little nervous as he held out his hand like the day of the ball. "I believe we've met?", he said and she smiled, taking his his hand. "Chip", she replied and he kissed the back of he hand. "Rebecca" "You remember me", she commented shyly and slowly he spun her around once, looking her up and down.
"I do. Of course I do", he smiled, "Look at you, that dress is very beautiful on you"

She blushed. "You think?" "It compliments your eyes", he said and gently let go of her hand. "You're still as charming as I remember, but-", she looked into his eyes, "There's something different about you now"
He smiled and nodded. "Yeah, a lot has changed" "Tell me about it", she said and he softly shook his head. "Not here, but maybe I could invite you to a little dinner tonight?"
Rebeccas lips parted in surprise and then quickly formed to a smile. "Yes, that would be lovely" "How about you give me your address or a place where I can pick you up at seven?", he asked and she quickly took one of the notepads on the counter, writing down an address and handing it over.
"I can't wait", she said and gestured toward the door with a nervous smile, "But for right now I have to keep going, my parents are waiting for me in the carriage" "Let me walk you there", he said and offered her his arm to hold onto. She did and together they walked outside. He helped her onto the carriage and when her dad came up to him with a grim look on his face he held out a hand to him.
