After dinner, where she had made him tell her all about their travels and adventures, he lead her to the center of the restaurant, where there was a huge, round floor for dancing. They joined the other couples and it was reminiscent of the waltz they had danced when they first met.
The music was elegant and exciting, as they turned and laughed and spun around.
Her smile made his heart skip and in that moment he knew this would be one of the hardest goodbyes once they would leave the island. With that thought, he pulled her closer then before, then gently leaned her down as the music reached it's crescendo.
Softly he pulled her back up and leaned his forehead against hers. "I'll miss you a whole lot when I leave", he confessed sheepishly and she rushed to hug him. "Don't even think about that now", she replied, felt his arms wrapped around her waist, a hand gently on her back. "What should I think about then?"
"I don't know, something nice" "So you?", Chip asked and she smiled gently touched his cheeks as she let go of him slowly.
"You're an idiot", she said affectionately and fixed his collar. "Would you go out with this idiot again?", he asked her and she looked at him with a smile, nodding. "I would"
"Tomorrow?" "Yes", she replied and watched him smiling. "Do you think your dad would kill me if I took you sailing?" "Probably", she chuckled and he sighed smiling. "I guess I'll have to enjoy my last full day on this world", he replied and lead her into a new dance as the melody of the next song picked up.Later that evening they walked out of the restaurant, smiling and dancing as they walked up to the carriage.
Gryffon watched with a smirk as he saw Chip spinning her around, before helping her up into the carriage.
They pulled up the her home and Chip walked her to the front door, knocking on the door at ten on the dot. The door swung open and her dad stood there as if he had done nothing but stare at the clock to catch Chip being late. "Good evening, Sir. As promised, ten on the dot", Chip said and then looked at Rebecca with a smile, before meeting her fathers eyes again, "If you wouldn't mind, I'd take her on another date in the afternoon tomorrow"Her dad looked at her, saw his daughter looking at Chip so full of joy and sighed.
"I don't mind", he said and gestured for Rebecca to walk inside, before holding his hand to Chip, who shook it, "I see it, I'll have to get used to you, huh?" "If she will have it", Chip said, smiling at Rebecca.
"She will", she said quickly and her father nodded. "We will see you tomorrow then", he said and Chip gave a nod. "See you tomorrow", he looked at Rebecca then her father and added, "Good night"
"Good night", she replied and her father nodded, before closing the door.Chip walked up to the carriage where Gryffon was waiting and fell back into the seat with a deep sigh. "Thank you, God", he whispered and smiled.
"Big night?", Gryffon asked as the carriage started moving toward the inn they stayed in. "It was so great", Chip said, absolutely on cloud nine, "She was so great, so beautiful and humble and the way she talks and laughs- Gryffon, I'm gonna marry her"
"You know that now?" "I'm one hundred percent sure", he said and smiled, "That's the woman I'm gonna marry" "Sure", Gryffon replied with an amused smirk, "And when's that wedding?" "I don't know yet, but it's gonna happen", he looked at the sky and smiled, "God already has a time for it, I'm sure. I don't have to worry about it now""If you say so", Gryffon commented and eventually the carriage stopped in front of the inn.
