Years passed, and Lucky's children were no longer the innocent toddlers he could simply shield from the world. Michael was nearly a teenager, and the twins, Emilia and Isabella, were becoming perceptive, clever young girls who noticed much more than he'd like. As the children grew, so did their curiosity, and it became harder for Lucky to hide his two lives.

One afternoon, Lucky returned home early, his face bruised from an encounter with a rival. He tried to slip into the house unnoticed, but Michael caught sight of him. His son's face was filled with a mixture of concern and suspicion.

Michael: "Dad, what happened to your face?"

Lucky forced a smile, trying to brush it off.

Lucky: "Just a little accident, buddy. Nothing to worry about."

But Michael didn't look convinced. He stepped closer, his gaze intense.

Michael: "You're always getting 'accidents,' Dad. People say... people say things about you. Is any of it true?"

Lucky felt a chill at the question. He could see his son's innocence slipping away, the realization that his father wasn't just an ordinary man beginning to dawn on him. For the first time, Lucky found himself at a loss, struggling to protect the life he'd built without revealing the darkness that came with it.

Lucky: "Michael, I do what I have to... to protect our family. That's all you need to know."

Michael stared at him, and for a moment, Lucky feared that his son saw through the carefully constructed facade he'd built. But Michael nodded, accepting the answer for now, though Lucky knew the questions would only continue.

In an attempt to strengthen his bond with his children and give them a break from the tension surrounding their lives, Lucky arranged a rare vacation for the family-a secluded cabin upstate, far from the city and his empire. It was a chance for him to reconnect with his family, to show his children a version of himself that wasn't stained by violence.

Sofia watched as he played with the children by the lake, laughing and splashing in the water. This was the Lucky she had fallen in love with-a man full of life and joy, not the feared kingpin the world knew him to be.

Sofia: "They need more of this, Sal. They need to see you as their father, not the man who leaves every night."

Lucky nodded, feeling a pang of guilt. He wanted to give them a normal life, but he knew that as long as he ruled his empire, he could never fully escape his other self.

That night, as they sat by the fire, Emilia crawled onto his lap, looking up at him with a serious expression.

Emilia: "Daddy, why do you have to go away so much?"

Lucky paused, running his fingers through her hair. He had no easy answer, no words that could explain why he was the man he was.

Lucky: "Because sometimes, people need help, sweetheart. And I have to be there for them."

Emilia nodded, her innocent acceptance breaking his heart. She believed in him, trusted him. For her and his family, Lucky knew he would do anything to keep them safe, no matter how dark his actions had to be.

While Lucky was away on vacation, his empire faced a brutal attack from a rival organization he thought he had quashed years ago. A fire was set at one of his main warehouses in the city, and two of his men were found dead, a note pinned to their bodies as a warning.

Lucky's lieutenant, Vinnie, called him, his voice urgent.

Vinnie: "Lucky, it's worse than we thought. They know about the family, boss. They're making this personal."
