The winter air was crisp and biting, the kind that nipped at noses and turned cheeks pink.

A thick blanket of snow covered the picturesque mountain resort where the group had gathered for their annual getaway.

The chalet, with its warm wooden interiors and crackling fireplace, was buzzing with energy.

Ishan sat on the wide windowsill, gazing out at the swirling snowflakes.

His small hands pressed against the cold glass, and his lips curled into a soft smile as he admired the winter wonderland.

"Look at him! He's like a kid seeing snow for the first time." Rohit whispered to Abhishek.

"I heard that." Ishan called back, turning with a mock pout.

"Not our fault you're adorable, Ishu." Hardik teased, throwing a pillow at him.

Ishan ducked, his laugh filling the room. Shubman, sitting quietly on the couch with a book, glanced up and smiled faintly.

As the morning passed, the group decided to head out for some snow activities.

Sledding, snowball fights, and building snowmen were on the agenda.

"I can't wait to make the biggest snowman ever!" Ishan exclaimed, hopping from one foot to the other as they bundled up in their winter gear.

His enthusiasm was contagious, though Shubman seemed more focused on making sure Ishan was properly dressed.

"You'll catch a cold if you don't zip up your jacket." Shubman chided gently, stepping closer to adjust Ishan's scarf.

"I'm fine, Shubh! You worry too much." Ishan replied but stood still as Shubman fussed over him.

"Someone has to..." Shubman muttered under his breath, earning a small smile from Ishan.

The group spilled out into the snowy landscape, their laughter echoing through the frosty air.

Ishan immediately ran ahead, flopping onto the snow to make a snow angel.

"Look, Shubh!" he called, his voice high with excitement.

Shubman, who had been walking slowly behind the others, nodded. "It's perfect, Ishu."

Before long, a snowball fight broke out. Ishan tried his best to keep up, darting around like a squirrel, but his tiny stature made him an easy target.

"Got you!" Mayank shouted, hitting Ishan squarely on the shoulder.

"Hey! No fair!" Ishan squeaked, attempting to retaliate but missing wildly.

Shubman stepped in, effortlessly launching a snowball that hit Mayank with a satisfying thwack.

"Pick on someone your own size!" Shubman said with a smirk.

"Shubh's on my team!" Ishan declared, sticking close to him as the battle raged on.

As the afternoon wore on, the group grew tired and returned to the chalet, leaving Ishan and Shubman outside.

Ishan was determined to build his snowman, and Shubman, as always, stayed by his side.

"I think it needs more snow here." Ishan said, squatting to pat down the snow.

"You're doing great." Shubman encouraged, handing him another handful of snow.

Ishan's hands were red from the cold, and his nose was a little runny, but his determination didn't waver.

Finally, he stepped back to admire their creation-a slightly lopsided but undeniably charming snowman.

"It's perfect." Shubman said softly, his voice full of warmth.

"Really?" Ishan looked up at him, his wide eyes glistening.

"Of course. Just like you." Shubman added without thinking.

Ishan blinked, his cheeks already red from the cold but now tinged with something warmer.

"You're being sappy." He mumbled, but his smile betrayed him.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the two finally headed back inside.

The warmth of the fireplace was a welcome relief, and Shubman immediately draped a thick blanket over Ishan's shoulders.

"Hot chocolate?" Shubman offered, already heading to the kitchen.

"Yes, please!" Ishan chirped, pulling the blanket tighter around himself.

When Shubman returned with two steaming mugs, he found Ishan curled up on the couch, his head resting on a cushion.

"You look ready to fall asleep." Shubman commented, sitting beside him.

"I'm just...really happy. This day was perfect." Ishan said quietly, his voice soft.

Shubman handed him a mug, watching as Ishan sipped it with a contented sigh.

"You make everything better, Shubh." Ishan murmured, leaning against him.

Shubman felt his heart skip a beat. He reached out, gently ruffling Ishan's messy hair. "I just want you to be happy, Ishu."

"I am! Especially when you're around." Ishan replied, looking up at him with sleepy eyes.

The rest of the group returned to the living room, finding the pair huddled together on the couch.

"Are we interrupting something?" Hardik teased, wiggling his eyebrows.

"Go away" Shubman replied dryly, pulling the blanket higher over Ishan.

"Protective as ever." Virat remarked with a grin.

"Always" Shubman said simply, not caring about the teasing.

Ishan, half-asleep, murmured, "Shubh, don't let them steal my snowman."

Shubman chuckled, pressing a soft kiss to the top of Ishan's head. "Don't worry, my pretty snowflake. Your snowman is safe. Just like you."

And in that moment, surrounded by warmth and love, Ishan drifted off, his trust in Shubman unshakable.
