."You ale so frogie, Shuuby." Vayu giggled, eyes scrunching up in blissful delight.
His laughter was soft like a melody, his whole being glowing like gentle sunshine.
Truly, Vayu was a soft sunshine baby.
(You are so frog, Shubby.)
He was giggling at Shubman, who was crouched down, looking under drawers and clothes with a confused expression very much like a little frogie.
"Frogie? Me?" Shubman raised an eyebrow.
"Aacha, toh who lost their yellow sunny socks and is now insisting on wearing only that pair?"
"Vayu!" the little one declared proudly, as if he'd just answered a seven-crore jackpot question.
He burst into more giggles, eyes twinkling.
Shubman couldn't help but chuckle.
Shaking his head fondly, he resumed his search, doing what Vayu liked to call 'frogie push-ups'.
After much hardwork and dedication, he finally found the missing socks, adorable yellow ones with a doodle of a smiling sun spilling bright beams.
Of all places, the socks were tucked inside a pillow cover.
To be precise, inside Shubman’s pillow cover.
Still crouched down, Shubman gently pulled the socks out and placed them over Vayu’s tiny, wobbly legs.
Vayu beamed, legs happily wiggling with joy.
"Done, baby." Shubman said softly, pressing a warm kiss to Vayu’s tiny feet, making the little boy giggle.
Then Shubman stood up and began showering Vayu’s whole face with soft pecks. With every kiss, Vayu giggled harder.
"Offo, Shuuby." He said when Shubman kissed his nose again, voice full of laughter.
Shubman was dressed casually in a fitted white tee and sweatpants, his hair slightly tousled from all the searching.
Vayu, meanwhile, was a sight of pure cuteness in a sunny yellow outfit, his T-shirt had a tiny sun doodle on the front and 'dada’s boy' written in playful handwriting on the back.
He wore soft yellow pants and a pair of tiny matching shoes.
And in that cozy moment, filled with giggles and sunshine, everything felt just right.
Right now, they were standing in front of their house.
Vayu stood quietly, his big eyes curiously watching the little crowd outside, while Shubman crouched down nearby, smiling as he clicked pictures of Vayu’s bright little face.
Once he was done, Shubman put his phone down and gently scooped Vayu into his arms.
They were going to a fair today, not a big one, but a small, sweet setup with a few rides for kids, some food stalls, and two or three little shops selling toys and candies.
Vayu had been so excited all morning, and now that they were on their way, his joy was almost glowing.
Shubman felt content too because his baby was happy, and that was everything to him.
