.It wasn't on Ishan's to do list to come to the fair today. It was random.
He had woken up like every other day like a machine.
A robot rising, drinking fuel, and getting ready to perform mechanical tasks.
A 9 to 5 routine with a made up smile for everyone, eyes dull and heavy with the need for sleep and peace.
His mouth repeated the same worn out greetings, lips moving as if on autopilot.
Just another day of being a robot following instructions.
Ishan worked at a journaling company as a journalist.
Like always, he woke up, got ready, and went to the office. But today, something changed.
His boss walked up to his desk.
"Ishan, you know about that fair?" His boss asked, stopping by his desk.
"About what fair?" Ishan replied, eyebrows pulling together in confusion.
"The one near your house." The man clarified.
"Oh, yes. So... what about it, sir?" Ishan asked, still a little puzzled.
"I want you to go there and get some photographs, you know, kids enjoying the rides, sellers, people, little moments and details, just a mix of everything for the magazine. And maybe write one or two good articles about it too." The boss said casually.
Ishan looked at him for a moment before nodding and muttering a quiet, "Okay."
"So, when do you want me to do it?" Ishan asked.
"What about right now? Yeah, go there right now." The man replied, nodding to himself as if confirming his own thought.
"Okay, sir." Ishan murmured and began collecting his things from the desk to head out.
Before going to the fair, Ishan stopped by his house to change into something more comfortable.
He slipped into a soft yellow tee, slightly loose on his frame, paired with simple grey sweatpants.
His curls were a little messy, but somehow, they fit perfectly with the relaxed look.
He was ready.
And right now, here was Ishan...
He was standing in the fair, a warm and gentle smile resting on his lips.
It was soft, pure, the kind that came without effort. In his arms was a tiny, warm piece of sunshine....Vayu.
Ishan had picked Vayu up from the ground just a while ago, ready to begin the search for little Vayu's tall Shuuby.
"Okay, Vayu." Ishan said softly, adjusting the boy gently in his arms.
"So, when and where was the last time you were with your Shuuby?" he asked, voice calm and patient.
"You ale sho pletty." Vayu said in a low, sweet voice, flashing his gummy smile and completely ignoring the question.
(You are so pretty. )
"O-Oh... thanks, betu." Ishan blinked, caught off guard.
His cheeks flushed faintly and he let out a soft chuckle.
