Love seems like it has no flaws.
No boundaries.
Nothing can tear it apart.
Yet can you love freely when you are at the brink of war?
For when you are the most powerful fairy, and the most powerful elf of your respective kingdoms, your people must come before your heart.

🎶: 'Rey's Theme' by John Williams

"Ahlie!"

The teacher ran through the tall pine trees of the forest, her long flowy skirts picked up to prevent a fall, her highly sensitive pointed ears trying to detect the potential sound of another pair of feet crunching dead twigs on the dirt paths that snaked through the woods.

"Ahlie, where are you?!"

She stopped eventually, needing to catch her breath after all that running, letting out an exasperated groan as she slumped against the nearest trunk.

"Oh I am not looking forward to letting your parents know you ran off again, this time during a class field trip!"

Meanwhile, a short female emerged from the forest, her lavender hood covering her pink hair and pointed ears, giggling when she saw she made it out without being caught.

"See? I knew no one would notice Paura, guess I won the bet."

Can't wait for the toasted mushrooms she'll prepare for me since she lost.

Ahlie pulled her hood down, studying the royal purple mountains before her. Tall and proud they were, looming against the sun setting sky.

Her cyan colored eyes were shining with mesmerization.

This used to be the border!

Finally, she landed her sight on a pathway that snaked throughout the mountains, one that seemed solid and safe enough for her to cross on.

She quickly hurried towards it, pulling the hood back up to blend in with the mountains. She's made it this far, the last thing she wanted was someone to spot and catch her.

Ahlie placed her bare foot on the rock, surprised to feel its smoothness beneath her skin despite the rocky looking terrain.

Amazing...

The female peered out ahead, curiosity and her spark for adventure burning brighter than ever as she looked at the path in front of her.

It was a long way up, and Ahlie had no idea what potential danger lived in these mountains, but she had to get to the spot.

My parents told me the top of the mountain is special, but they wouldn't explain why.

And guess what she decided to do?

Find out for herself.

Ahlie began to ascend the purple mountain ridge that stretched on for miles, hands clutching the strings of her hood to keep her warm.

If, rhetorically speaking, there was anybody around to see her, they would notice the glowing misty hue pulsing from her hands.

Ahlie was blessed with an elemental gift, which made sense as she was an elf. Elves are only gifted with power over the elements, nothing more, nothing less.

In her case, Ahlie had the power to create clouds, and yes, they could generate any weather, whether rain, snow, or even hail and thunder.

The bonus element?
